In the about 16 years Livina Nixon has spent with Melbourne's Nine News as a weather presenter, she has witnessed several unusual encounters and doesn't fail to share it with her fans.

In the early hours of today, Nixon shared a clip of her during an outdoor shoot day. The 45-year-old looked casual in a denim skirt paired with a pink stylish short-sleeved top with a neck wrap.

GREETED BY EMUS

She finished the look with simple black flat shoes and was surrounded by three men who handled the filming equipment. However, the short clip's highlight was the two elegant emus in the background having a great time.

Earlier this month, [Nixon] recounted the awkward moment she met actor George Clooney while dressed in tracksuit pants.

She also took to her Instagram story to share a collage photo of one of the emus behind her with a playful caption that read, "meeting the locals" as she noted that the clip was taken at Warrnambool, Victoria.

A RUN-IN WITH A HUNGRY RHINO

This isn't the first time Nixon has interacted with animals while shooting adventurous outdoor moments. Such was the case in November 2019 when she was doing a live cross at Werribee Zoo.

The renowned presenter was on the back of a feeding truck and was doing a cross back to the studio when a hungry rhino interrupted the feed, reaching for the vehicle. Luckily, one of the rangers moved quickly and circled to safety before the rhino collided with the truck.

KARAOKE WITH JOHN FARNHAM

Last month, the mother-of-two made headlines when she made a shocking revelation on episode eight of Nine News Unmasked joined by Peter Hitchener and Tony Jones as they discussed their public signing chronicles.

During the segment, Nixon recalled that while she was a member of "Hey Hey It's Saturday," she was enjoying a karaoke session when the iconic British singer John Farnham joined her on the microphone. Although she didn't say the song they sang, she described it as a beautiful experience.

MEETING GEORGE CLOONEY

Earlier this month, the famous presenter recounted the awkward moment she met actor George Clooney while dressed in tracksuit pants. During the encounter she described as a career low-light, Nixon explained that she was on a 5 am flight from New York to Los Angeles and believed it would be comfortable to dress down.

Unknown to her, Clooney was on the flight and had appeared on her show the previous week, so her producer urged her to approach him and thank him for his kind gesture. Embarrassed by her looks, she tried to talk her producer out of it, but it turned futile. Luckily, Clooney responded positively to her, even though he didn't seem in the mood for anybody.
