"Today Show" weather anchor Al Roker has a grown-up younger brother, Christopher "Chris" Roker, who leads an incredible and inspiring life as a health service official.
Al Roker is popular on TV as his job requires him to be in front of people every day. However, many people might not know that he has a younger brother, Chris, who works away from the camera but is just as interesting.
Some avid viewers of Roker on the "Today Show," may have gotten the chance to see his brother Chris on the show as he has appeared a few times beside his older brother.
In 2018, Chris joined his big brother on the show. This was just in time for Thanksgiving celebrations, and both men gave Roker's fans a glimpse of their childhood and Thanksgiving celebrations together.
Happy to have his brother by his side on the show, Roker revealed that he and Chris were going to prepare a special Thanksgiving dish that their mother liked to make. He wrote on Twitter:
"My brother, Chris Roker and I are making one of our fave #thanksgiving #sidedishes , our mom's #sweetpotatopoon."
Roker's fans were quick to point out the striking resemblance between him and his younger brother, Chris, as they stood side-by-side to click their precious brotherly selfie.
They could all see how much the brothers loved and respected each other as they made their special dish with the best light-hearted sibling banter. It was sweet to watch them work together.
They had lots of surprising secrets about him from their childhood growing up.
Early in January, the Roker family got to celebrate a big win on behalf of Chris when he got a major development with his job as Chief Executive Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens.
The CEO was promoted to yet another leadership role as CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, a position in which he would serve as the health system's Chief Growth Officer. Roker celebrated his brother's achievement on Twitter:
"So proud of my brother, Christopher Roker. He is the Roker making a difference. You go, guy!!"
Roker's celebration of his brother's achievement was very heart-warming and had his fans and followers joining him in applauding Chris. This wonderful news came about a year after Chris returned to the "Today" show on Siblings Day.
Rather than coming alone, he brought their sister, Alisa, along. When Roker's siblings surprised him during the show, they had lots of surprising secrets about him from their childhood growing up.
His sister revealed that young Al was a very entertaining trickster who loved to build spaceships out of boxes. They shared many more heart-warming childhood memories.
"Today Show" viewers, who love to watch Roker, know how much he loves to dote on and talk about his family. The 66-year-old has always been the kind, good-natured, friendly Al that lights up the room.
