CMA Awards 2020: Time, Channels to Watch, Hosts and More Details

The CMA Awards takes place on Wednesday, and with performances expected from various popular artists, it's a tight race to the awards line this year. Ahead of the annual event, we've gathered all the details viewers need in advance.

This year's CMA Awards feature performances from artists such as Charlier Puth, Thomas Rhett, and Miranda Lambert, who makes CMA history with her number of nominations. But the annual event has much more in store.

The annual event held by the Country Music Association honors country music's greatest accomplishments, and it is set to take place at the Music City Center in Nashville on November 11.

THE PERFORMERS

An impressive lineup of performers, including Justin Bieber and Dan + Shay, performing the hit song "10,000 Hours." While Maren Morris, Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde, Florida Georgia Line, Charlie Puth, and other artists are set to strut their stuff on stage, it was announced on Monday that Chris Stapleton would join the lineup as well.

Stapleton will perform his new song "Starting Over," while fans can also look forward to Carly Pearce and Lady A's Charles Kelley's performance of the multi-award-nominated song "I Hope You're Happy Now."

THE TOP NOMINEES

This year Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert battled it out with only four award nominations separating them in the history books. With a total of 55 CMA Award nominations to date, Lambert became the most-nominated artist in CMA history. Standing at 51 nominations, McEntire is hot on her heels.

The prestigious Entertainer of the Year award will be between Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, who earned six nominations this year, and Eric Church.

THE HOSTS

Country icons Darius Rucker and Reba McEntire will co-host the awards ceremony, which will also feature familiar faces as presenters. The pair will also perform a song together in tribute to the loss of legendary country singer Charlie Daniels in July.

Among the long list of presenters are Jake Owen, Cece Winans, Sara Evans, Taylor Hill, Lauren Alaina, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Lauren Akins.

THE WHEN AND HOW

The 54th Annual CMA Awards will air live on Wednesday, November 11. Mountain Time viewers and those on ET can tune in at 8 pm, while fans working on CT can watch from 7 pm.

ABC will broadcast the awards ceremony on television, and viewers can also watch view ABC's streaming services such as YouTube, fubuTV, and Hulu With Live TV, and AT&T TV Now.

SHIRTLESS FOR MUSIC

Miranda Lambert's record-breaking CMA Award nominations ride on the wave of her newly released music video to the song "Settling Down," and it's something for the eye.

For the making of the music video released last month, Lambert enlisted the help of her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, who appeared shirtless in snippets while smilingly filling up on fluids in the kitchen.
