TV Line: Inside 'Blue Bloods,' 'Magnum PI' and 'MacGyver' Season Openers Plot
CBS offers fans of their hit shows "Blue Bloods," "Magnum PI" and "MacGyver" a glimpse into what they can expect for their season premieres.
December 4, 2020, is the date set for the new season of CBS' Friday night hit shows 'Blue Bloods,' 'Magnum PI' and 'MacGyver' and lifted the veil on what fans can expect.
The three shows, which are among the networks' biggest successes, will be debuting new plot lines, new characters, and addressing some of the most pertinent current social issues.

Exciting, thrills and mystery are the name of the game on CBS's Friday nights, and on December 4, 2020, the network is bringing back three of its most successful series.
First up on the lineup will be "MacGyver" Season 5, "Magnum P.I." Season 3, and "Blue Bloods" Season 11. It is interesting to note that "MacGyver", and "Magnum P.I." reboot of hit series from the 80s.
"BLUE BLOODS" AND THE NEW REALITY
"Blue Bloods," the hit police procedure drama starring Tom Selleck (who was the original and unforgettable Magnum PI) as Frank Reagan, the patriarch of a family of police officers, will be dealing with recent events and issues.
The series will be dealing with police brutality and life and police work during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Another new character will be added to the cast in the shape of a Reagan none of the family knew existed...And the guest star is the ever-fabulous Whoopi Goldberg.

VINTAGE "MACGYVER"
The reboot of the popular 80s series starring Richard Dean Anderson as a man who can make anything out of odds and ends and save the day was launched in 2016 and proved that the hit formula worked.
MacGyver is now played by Lucas Till. The new "MacGyver" is a government agent who uses ingenuity and science rather than guns to defeat the bad guys. Mac will be facing international criminals at a glamorous resort and a mysterious woman with a secret identity...
"MAGNUM P.I." DOUBLE TROUBLE
Hawaii's favorite private eye will be tooling that red Ferrari around some dangerous curves on the season's first episode -- namely "Hawaii Five-0’s" Kimee Balmilero and Shawn Garnett as Magnum's new clients.
Expect lots of thrills, spills, and the usual fireworks between Magnum and Higgins who has to deal with an amorous surgeon after she gets shot -- and all of it in pursuit of a missing brother, and secret revenge.
Like so many other series, "Blue Bloods," "Magnum PI" and "MacGyver" saw their new seasons delayed due to the CORONA-19 pandemic, and the production of the episodes had to be carried out under stringent quarantine measures.
