77-year-old actress and author Linda Evans rose to fame mainly because of her roles in two prominent TV series, namely the Western “The Big Valley” in the sixties, and the family saga “Dynasty” in the eighties.

While it was “Dynasty” which cemented her reputation as a TV star, it also marked the beginning of the end for the veteran actress, who has since taken part in very few productions, choosing a more ordinary life for her elder years, for a change.

A QUIET RETIREMENT

Following the end of “Dynasty” in 1989, and after having played Krystle Carrington on it for eight years, Evans partially retired and moved to Rainier, Washington, where she owns a home on 70 acres of woodland.

Despite having been mostly away from the cameras as an actress for decades, with counted exceptions, Evans remains very active on social media, where she not only shares a lot of throwbacks from her successful career but also updates us about her current life and projects.

SHARING HER WISDOM

On October 18, 2020, for instance, Evans took to her Instagram feed to grace us with a beautiful black and white portrait of herself as she looks now, and while age has changed her, we can still recognize her sweet smile and her captivating eyes, apart from her signature blond hair.

In the image, Evans wore a summer hat as she rested her chin on her right knuckles, giving a warm look to the camera as she seats among some trees in her quiet country estate.

“Everything has a time and a purpose,” the star started to write on the inspired and reflective captioned that accompanied the picture, on which she shared how she has spent the recent months of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, writing:

“While the world has slowed down, I’ve taken many precious moments to myself to get to know and love the most important person in my life… me.”

We can definitely take these wise words by Evans as an urgent piece of advice for these unprecedented times, and like the celebrated actress, we should also focus on listening to ourselves carefully to access our inner wisdom.

MAKING A COMEBACK

By looking at Evans and by getting to know more about her thoughts of recent years, we can tell that she found what she was looking for when she made the decision of leaving “Dynasty” to reconnect with reality.

But in 2020, Evans has a surprise on hold for her devoted fans, since after years of semi-retirement spent on cooking, writing, and meditating on her life, she is set to return to the screen after nearly two decades.

Evans appears third billed in the cast of the upcoming drama film “Swan Song,” written and directed by Todd Stephens. The film’s two other main stars are Udo Kier and Jennifer Coolidge, and it is currently in post-production.
