Jennifer Lopez Admits the COVID-19 Pandemiс Was an Eye-Opening Experience for Her Family
Spending time with her family in quarantine became a "real eye-opener" for Jennifer Lopez, as she opened up about the contrast it showed to their lives from the perspective of her children.
Mandated time in quarantine due to the novel coronavirus gave Jennifer Lopez the chance to engage in ways her highly successful career hasn't "ever" allowed. Speaking with WSJ Magazine, the singer opened up about her twins' freedom in being open to her in how it affected them.
Engaged and planning their wedding, Lopez and Rodriquez make up part of a big blended family. Lopez shares twins Emme and Maximillian with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriquez and his ex Cynthia Scurtis also share two children, daughters Ella and Natasha.

SOME THINGS DO SOME THINGS DON'T
The quarantine period gave Lopez and her family uninterrupted time together as they spent it at home. Their bonds strengthened, and in doing so, Emme and Max felt comfortable enough to share how different aspects of family life affect them, positive and negative.

Being at home with the children every night is something Lopez admitted to being a rare occasion, if "ever," and it opened her eyes to an aspect of her life she had to reassess as a parent, a mother.
"We’re providing this awesome life for them, but at the same time, they need us," she told the publication. "They need us in a different way. We have to slow down, and we have to connect more. And, you know, I don’t want to miss things."
HER EXPERIENCE GROWING UP
Lopez is known for her dance moves, which she said she gets from her mom Guadalupe Lopez. The life Jennifer can provide for her children comes from her influence as well, as her mother instilled in the star a love for music.
Guadalupe was 20 when she married. By age 25, she had already given birth to Jennifer and her sisters Leslie and Lynda. Of how it felt growing up, Jennifer shared:
“We all grew up together. It was like living with a teenager, to be honest.”
READY TO WALK DOWN THE AISLE
Had it not been for the pandemic, Lopez and Rodriquez would have had their dream wedding all planned out and ready to go. Despite the setback, sources told HollywoodLife that they are taking it in their stride.
Even though they can't wait to make their union official, the pair don't want to settle for anything less than a wedding; they want to be "something very special." With the planning of the big day underway, Lopez knows it will end up being perfect.
The whole family is looking forward to the day Alex Rodriquez and Jennifer Lopez tie the knot. While all relationships need a reassessment every so often, the children know how much their parents love them and take an active interest in their lives.
During a chat with Mario Lopez on Access, Emme shared that her mom and dad, Marc Anthony, are "extremely" proud of her, and if she needs them, they are always there.
