Earlier this week, details of Clarkson's divorce proceedings were leaked to the tabloids.
The singer looked glamorous in a dramatic flowing blue and black patterned dress and her blonde hair flowing down her shoulders while her singers were dressed in black. The accompanying caption read:
"So much fun celebrating the tree lighting ceremony for #RockCenterXMAS!"
In the two-hour event held in New York, the country singer had a heartwarming duet rendition with country artist Brett Eldredge as they sang, "Under the Mistletoe." She then had a solo performance of her original classic, "Underneath The Tree."
When asked about her favorite Christmas memory, Clarkson answered, saying it was moments that revolve around her two children, River and Remington, that brought joy to her face. In her words:
"I spend so much time buying the perfect gift, and [her kids are] more excited about the boxes that they came in, and they make spaceships and tunnels."
She noted that it was thrilling to have the kids around during the holidays. Other stars that took the stage at the event include Gwen Stefani, Tori Kelly, Meghan Trainor, Earth, Wind & Fire, Dan + Shay, and Pentatonix.
Earlier this week, details of Clarkson's divorce proceedings were leaked to the tabloids. According to reports, Blackstock is seeking monthly spousal and child support fees worth up to $436,000 from Clarkson alongside attorney fees of $2 million.
A source disclosed that Blackstock's is requesting $301,000 in spousal support and $135,000 in child support even though the "American Idol" alum offered to singlehandedly take care of the kids' expenses.

The insider noted that the talent manager is putting up unrealistic demands and driving up the divorce cost. His monetary request came shortly after it was revealed that Clarkson was awarded primary physical custody of their two children.
An L.A. county judge ruled in the singer's favor citing the kids' stability and continuity as a reason. Court documents also showed that the former couple faced difficulties in co-parenting due to trust issues.
