Tom Bergeron Shares His First Post on Instagram after Shooting down Talk of DWTS Return
The former host of “Dancing With the Start” took to his Instagram to post a photo with a stunning view of the landscape from his home.
Tom Bergeron, 65, is the former host of the popular television show “Dancing With the Stars,” writer and comedian, which for 28 seasons was in charge of moderating the competition, introducing the contestants and the judges.
Following his unexpected departure from the show last summer, along with co-host Erin Andrews, the beloved TV personality had posted no content on his social media.

However, a couple of days ago he decided to break the silence by posting an impressive photograph on his Instagram account. It is about the landscape that the former host can see from his window.
An explosion of warm colors: oranges and yellows of the sky framed the hills and some trees that are lost on the horizon. In the foreground, on the lower left of the image, a part of the pool of the place is displayed.
WILL NEVER RETURN
In an interview that Bergeron gave a few days ago, he commented that although he is very grateful for the displays of affection and appreciation from the DWTS public, he is not in his plans to return to the program.
With a very clear expression, the former host told the people who wrote that they would not see the show until he returned: "Well, there's really no 'until' here. This train has left the station,” Bergeron said.
BERGERON'S CAREER
Bergeron began his career in the entertainment industry on the radio, hosting a radio show in Portsmouth, NH. He was occasionally an anchor for Good Morning America and The Early Show.
He has received a number of nominations, awards, and recognition throughout his career for his performance. Among others, he has received eleven Emmy Award nominations and four Critics' Choice Awards. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host in 2000.
PERSONAL LIFE
The former entertainer is the son of Ray Bergeron and Kay Bergeron, the couple had two children: Tom and his sister Maureen Bergeron. The beloved entertainer's current wife is Lois Bergeron, and they are the proud parents of two daughters: Samantha Bergeron and Jessica Bergeron.
In 2009, Bergeron released his first book titled “I'm Hosting as Fast as I Can: Zen and the Art of Staying Sane in Hollywood.” The book details his career and other unusual events, along with some Zen and life classes.
BREAKING WITH DWTS
With a tweet on his social network, the television personality announced to his followers and the millions of viewers who follow the show his departure from "Dancing With the Stars."
After much speculation and requests on social media for Berenger to return as the host of the show, it emerged that the reason for him and Erin Andrews to be replaced is that the producers think it must evolve.
BANKS TAKING OVER
Executive producer Andrew Llinares said in an interview that the reason for hiring Tyra Banks as a replacement for the previous co-hosts is that the show needed to continue and evolve.
They are committed to making the show feel fresh, renewing it, and seeking to reach new audiences, as well as the audience that has been loyally following the show every season.
