The duo who sat next to each other appeared to be at an event as other participants could be seen in the background, wearing formal outfits.
Melvin accompanied the picture with a caption wishing Ryan a happy 35th birthday. The television personality then listed some of his brother's attributes. He wrote:
"Ryan. Crazy. Cool. And now in his late 30s. Love you, Young Melvin!"
Melvin's sweet post was met with reactions from several fans and followers who soon trooped to the comments section, leaving birthday wishes for Ryan.
The television personality's recent post for Ryan came only a few days after he announced the death of their older brother Lawrence Meadows who died at 43.
The television personality expressed his grief, noting that colon cancer robbed Meadows of having a good life.
Melvin shared the sad news via a post on Instagram where he shared a sweet family picture of himself and Ryan posing alongside their big brother as they all smiled.
He accompanied it with a note revealing that Meadows was diagnosed with colon cancer at 39 and finally succumbed to the disease last Wednesday.
Melvin described his older brother as a Baptist minister and an entrepreneur and added that he was one of the best humans anyone could ever know. Meadows was also a husband and father to two kids.
The television personality expressed his grief, noting that colon cancer robbed Meadows of having a good life but added that his older brother raised awareness about the disease in the past few years.
Melvin first shared the news of his Meadows' diagnosis in 2017 during an episode of "Today" where he now works alongside Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
It, therefore, came as no surprise that the television personality was met with support from Hager and Kotb, who were quick to send their love and condolences to him.
While Melvin might be dealing with the painful loss of his brother, there is no doubt that he is surrounded with love from his family and friends. That in itself is enough reason for the television personality to stay strong.
