Here's What Tarek El Moussa's Fiancée Said about Changing Her Name after Marriage
Television personality Heather Rae Young is set to get married to her fiancé Tarek El Moussa after he proposed to her. She recently shared one special change she would make upon getting married.
Heather Rae Young, 33, took part in an interview on Dear Media’s podcast “Not Skinny but Not Fat” this week. During the episode, she opened up about their relationship with fiancé Tarek El Moussa, 39.
The "Selling Sunset" realtor took part in the interview with her fiancé. The podcast host Amanda Hirsch asked Young if she was going to change her last name when she got married.

She confessed to Hirsch that she would go by the name Heather Rae El Moussa. The Netflix star also shared a little bit more about her marriage plans with the podcast host, stating:
“I’m going to drop my last name.”
Her “Flip or Flop” reality star fiancé added that Young might actually go as far as dropping her middle name too. He explained what the thinking behind the change would be, saying:
“We might go Heather El Moussa, because Heather Rae El Moussa, that’s what, four words?”
His fiancée agreed with him but also confessed that they hadn’t decided on anything solid as yet. She shared that, at the moment, she was just excited to be Mrs. El Moussa since getting engaged in July 2020.
Young also revealed that she was already getting a wedding dress done by designer Galia Lahav. The fashion designer will also be creating her rehearsal dinner dress, which El Moussa chose.
Luckily for the realtor, her fiancé happened to choose her favorite gown. The couple didn’t want to give away too much information about their special day but El Moussa did reveal that they’d found a venue.
The HGTV reality star admitted that the venue might have been Catalina Island but they’ve since crossed it out. The island happens to be the same place where Young’s fiancé initially proposed to her.
However, fans will have to wait as the couple isn’t in a rush to exchange wedding vows. The “Flip or Flop” co-host explained that they wanted to wait until they could accommodate more people at their wedding.
Tarek El Moussa has already revealed that his ex won’t be invited.
He shared how they wanted to host it when the novel coronavirus outbreak has become more settled. During a “Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa” episode, the star told his children that he was going to propose.
El Moussa shares daughter Taylor Reese, 10, and son Brayden James, 5, with his ex-wife and “Flip or Flop” co-star Christina Anstead. The reality star has already revealed that his ex won’t be invited.
Young and her fiancé actually interacted on Instagram long before they met in person. They only got to meet each other on July 4, 2019, in Newport Beach, California when Young was on El Moussa’s boat.
