Vanessa Bryant Speaks Out Following Her Mom's Lawsuit — Here's What She Revealed
Vanessa Bryant, the wife of late NBA star Kobe Bryant, has made some shocking revelations following a lawsuit by her mom Sofia Laine which she describes as disgraceful.
Vanessa Bryant is opening up about the ongoing drama between her and her mother, Sofia Lane. This comes in the wake of a lawsuit the older woman filed against her daughter.
Speaking to People, Vanessa accused her mom of extortion, adding that the older woman has continuously found ways to get money from her family.

Vanessa explained that she had supported her mother for about 20 years, and against what Laine is claiming, she was never a personal assistant or nanny to their family.
Vanessa continued by adding that she has always been a stay-at-home mom, and alongside her late husband, Kobe Bryant, she has been a full-time caregiver to their daughters.
According to Vanessa, Laine stayed in one of her and Kobe's properties for nearly 20 years after claiming she did not have enough money to buy a home.
The mom of four concluded by stating that her mother's claims are false and that Laine is only trying to "live off of my daughters and me for the rest of her life."
She accused Vanessa of cutting her off financially and kicking her out of their California home.
Vanessa described Laine's lawsuit as disgraceful and unimaginably hurtful, adding the older woman has no regard for how her actions affect her family.
According to People, 68-year-old Laine is suing Vanessa on claims that she worked as a longtime nanny and personal assistant to the Bryants without getting paid.
The lawsuit also claimed that Vanessa's late husband Kobe Bryant had promised to take care of Laine for the rest of her life, but his sudden death in January put a hold on that.
She added that following the NBA star's death, Vanessa had worked hard to ensure that all of Kobe's plans and promises to her are not honored.
Laine's lawsuit comes only a few months after she accused Vanessa of cutting her off financially and kicking her out of their California home. The 68-year-old also said her daughter demanded to have the car she had previously gifted her.
Following these accusations, Vanessa came out describing her mom's words as hurtful and expressing hope that the drama would end there.
However, from the latest happenings, there does not seem to be hope for a reconciliation between these two — at least, not anytime soon.
