The 2020 elections have been over for more than a month, but journalists Savannah Guthrie and Kristen Welker are still receiving accolades for their impressive work, covering the monumental moment.

The latest recognition was a recent Vogue article about the powerhouse news anchors celebrating them for their exceptional impact in covering the elections and handling the presidential debates.

Guthrie was pleased by the appreciation and took to her social media page to share a photo of the magazine shoot. The black-and-white image showed Guthrie and Welker inches apart, looking fiercely at the camera.

Regardless of fans' perception of the photo, Guthrie and Welker have often exhibited mutual respect and love for each other.

Guthrie stunned in a midi-gown with a short slit and a belt as she folded her arms, while Welker opted for a power pantsuit with stilettos. She has one hand on her waist, and the other slightly rested on her thighs. The powerful photo was captioned:

"What an honor - thank you @vogue for this generous story, and for allowing ⁦‪me and @kristen.welker ‬⁩to now tell people we have modeled together."

Unfortunately, the photo wasn't well-received by some fans who aired their dislike for their postures. A fan on Twitter described the magazine cover as "awful," noting that Welker and Guthrie looked like they hated each other.

Another user echoed a similar remark on Instagram, writing that the image looks like the colleagues compete against each other. However, one fan described the picture as fierce.

Regardless of fans' perception of the photo, Guthrie and Welker have often exhibited mutual respect and love for each other. This was the case in January when Welker was promoted to join the NBC "Today" team as a co-anchor of "Weekend Today,"

Guthrie publicly congratulated her, gushing about how proud she was of her friend. Welker was touched by the tribute and thanked her co-anchors for the sweet welcome.

After putting in the work, day and night, and spending about 29 hours on air to cover the election results, Guthrie finally reunited with her children on November 8 and shared a touching photo to commemorate the big moment.

The doting mother was seen cuddling daughter Vale and son Charles as they sat on a grey sofa. Earlier this month, the 48-year-old "Today" co-anchor revealed that the most-streamed song on her Spotify is the "Paw Patrol" theme song.

Guthrie's confession via an Instagram post garnered reactions from other parents in the comments section who could relate to their kids hilariously taking over their music history.
