'Friends' Star Courteney Cox Finally Reunited with Fiancé Johnny McDaid After 9 Months
One of the many challenges that the novel coronavirus has brought has been peoples' inability to see their loved ones. Courteney Cox was one such person, although she seems to have finally gotten a solution.
Last week, a Twitter user posted a video featuring actress Courteney Cox and singer Johnny McDaid. The couple had recorded a message to the frontline workers in Derry Island – McDaid's hometown.
It is unclear where Cox and McDaid had recorded the video. The couple stood in an outdoor location, with the two encouraging the people of the Ráth Mór community.

The two looked incredibly happy together, with Cox wearing a pink sweater and McDaid donning a black ensemble. This will mark the first time that the two are being seen together in months.
The video was also reportedly a part of a community initiative in preparation for the Christmas celebrations. Speaking in the clip, Cox said: "We just want to thank all the people at Ráth Mór in Creggan for all the incredible work you have done this year."
McDaid added that the work that the people had done was appreciated. He pointed out that while the year had been difficult, 2021 will be better. Considering how challenging 2020 has been, everyone definitely hopes that 2021 will be a much better year for them.
Cox's comments led to believe that she and McDaid had been apart for about five months.
Cox and McDaid have had a pretty challenging year too. The pair, who began dating in 2014, had to spend a significant part of the year away from each other due to the novel coronavirus.
In October, she spoke on an episode of The Vinyl Supper podcast with singer Foy Vance. There, she explained that McDaid had returned to Europe before the lockdown. In part, she said:
"Let's say it's been 150 days, I've cooked 145 of them. And I haven't seen John in that many days."
Cox's comments led to believe that she and McDaid had been apart for about five months. However, she was lucky enough to have a few friends, as well as her 16-year-old daughter, Coco, move in with her.
Cox ad McDaid began dating in 2014, as stated earlier. The pair split up for a while in 2015, but they reunited soon after and gave their relationship another shot.
In six years of dating, the pair appears to have gone through it all. They have been the subject of marriage rumors, have broken up, and are still going strong. Cox and McDaid appear to just be happy together for now.
