Meghan Markle made a lasting impression on the minds of her new royal family a couple of years ago when she joined their tradition of presenting gag gifts to each other during Christmas.

Details of the gift Meghan presented William back then can be found between the pages of the book, titled "Finding Freedom." The book was written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, two of the select reporters allowed to cover the British royal family.

The book centers on the relationship Harry and Meghan share and their journey to becoming a family. After Meghan and Harry announced their engagement in 2017, Meghan joined the royal family's gift-giving tradition.

She awarded her new family members with cheap joke gifts. She presented one of her gag gifts to Prince William, who not only approved of it but found it amusing. At the time, Meghan believed the tradition to be an important one.

Therefore her greatest challenge was finding the perfect gifts when the time came. The talented actress approached the task with ingenuity, but it was only her gift to Prince William that scored her major points with her then soon-to-be family.

The gift was a spoon that had the words "cereal killer" embossed on the shallow bowl end of it. For the Queen, Meghan got a singing hamster toy, which the monarch loved but lost when her dog caught hold of it.

This year, the royal family has revealed that they will not be gathering for the festivities to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus. In her infinite wisdom, even the Queen has dismissed her yearly trip to Sandringham for the holidays.

Still, that has not stopped them from exchanging gifts with one another. According to PEOPLE, Prince Harry, Meghan, Kate Middleton, and Prince William have already exchanged presents between their families.

Harry, Meghan, and their kid will be spending the holidays in their new home in Montecito, California— they have expressed excitement in decorating their new home for the festivities.

Kate and William are undecided on their holiday plans while the Queen will reportedly remain with Prince Philip at Windsor Castle, where they have been keeping safe.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla will visit the couple at Windsor at some point during the holidays; however it is unknown if Kate and her family will do the same.
