Before she met Jeezy, Jeannie Mai was married to her ex-husband Freddy Harteis for 14 long years. He now has two children with his girlfriend, Linsey Toole.
On October 26, 2018, Jeannie Mai's then-estranged husband announced that he had welcomed a daughter, Emersyn Rose, with his girlfriend, Linsey Toole.
The news came nearly a year after Mai and Harteis announced their separation in 2017. The duo never had children of their own because Mai had made it very clear that she was not interested in becoming a mother.
FREDDY'S HAPPY BROOD
Within a span of one year, Harteis and Toole welcomed a son, Huck Fredrick, in November 2019. He often shares cute pictures of his children on Instagram.
More recently, he shared a sweet photo of the babies sitting in a big suitcase full of toys. The cute munchkins are growing up to look just like their parents.
In between divorcing Mai and starting a family with Toole, Harteis did not miss a beat. In a 2018 interview with "The Breakfast Club," Mai opened up about the moment she realized it was time to walk away from her husband.
Toole alleged that Mai had made her husband sign papers to keep his mouth closed...
HOW THINGS WENT SOUTH
In her words, the marriage turned upside down when money and ego got involved. She and Harteis were initially not on bad terms when they split, but eventually, things took a bad turn.
Mai still remembers a valuable lesson that her ex taught her — he used to tell her one can only see a person's true colors when they do not get what they want.
Little did Mai know that he would be the one to prove it. During her interview with "The Breakfast Club," she seemingly hinted that Harteis was unfaithful in their marriage.
More drama stirred up when Mai said she was paying her ex a part of her earnings in a 2019 episode of "The Real." She said the experience taught her to look out for herself.
LINSEY'S WARNING TO JEANNIE
Many fans extended their love and support to Mai, but Toole was not having it. Irate, she took to the comment section and accused her of lying for pity and added that she and Harteis worked hard for what they have.
Toole alleged that Mai had made her husband sign papers to keep his mouth closed, but she said she would publicly humiliate her if she continued to lie and spread rumors about Harteis.
