'Gossip Girl' Star Jessica Szohr & Boyfriend Brad Richardson Welcome Their 1st Child

Jessica Szohr is a new mother. The "Gossip Girl" star and boyfriend Brad Richardson recently welcomed their first child together. The pair named their newborn daughter Bowie Ella Richardson.

Jessica Szohr celebrated the arrival of her baby girl by sharing an intimate Instagram pic of the newborn’s. The actress and boyfriend, athlete Brad Richardson, welcomed the newest member of their family on Monday.

Like first-time moms everywhere, the former "Gossip Girl" actress has detailed her nervousness on her Instagram page. During the course of her pregnancy, the star opened up to fans about her fears about being a new mother.

While the star will be adjusting to motherhood for the first time, Richardson is no stranger to parenthood. He shares his daughter, Lexi, with ex-wife Lauren Hunt. The happy couple has dated since February 2019.

The actress shocked fans when she first broadcasted her pregnancy news on Instagram. Szohr posted a black and white smiley candid of Richardson bending down to smooch her baby bump, captioning the picture:

The pregnancy has left Szohr with nothing but praise for mothers everywhere. The star penned her thoughts on Instagram noting that reworking sleeping schedules and diets to bring forth life, is no easy feat.

The first time mum has however had a great support system throughout her journey. Under the post marking her daughter's arrival, Szohr credited her successful pregnancy and birth to Richardson and his daughter Lexi.

From her changing body to her new maternity wardrobe, Szohr has documented honest snippets of her journey to motherhood on her Instagram page. She often put up polls asking fans for answers to her questions.

The actress posted a recording of herself following the instructions of a breastfeeding video. Bundled up in a cozy, turtleneck the star’s eye’s widened as she listened to the video, however, she admitted her fears saying:

“I'm just nervous, I'm nervous to breastfeed - is that wrong?”

Szohr first shot to stardom on the mega runaway hit "Gossip Girl." The show followed the secret lives of New York City's wealthy Upper East Side teenagers. Szohr was cast as the bohemian character "Vanessa Abrams."

The show quickly became a cult favorite and went on to launch the careers of many famous actors including Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Marvel Cinematic Universe star Sebastian Stan, and many others.

The star now joins her former co-stars in the parenting ring. Leighton Meester welcomed son, Arlo, with husband, actor Adam Brody, while Blake Lively and husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, have three daughters.

Before settling with boyfriend and Ice Hockey Player Richardson, the 35-year-old actress had in the past been romantically linked to NFL player Aaron Rodiguez and NY Jets player Scotty Mcknight.
