Dwyane Wade's Daughter Zaya Posts Rare TBT Photo of Mom on Her Brother Zaire's 19th Birthday

Dwyane Wade's son Zaire Wade celebrated his 19th birthday on Thursday and his sister, Zaya, posted a sweet birthday tribute to him on her Instagram page.

Congratulations and well-wishes are in order for Zaire Wade, the son of former NBA and Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, who turned 19 years old on Thursday.

As expected, he received tons of birthday wishes from his friends and family members, and leading the tributes was his younger sister, Zaya.

ZAYA EXPOSES ZAIRE

Taking to her Instagram page, Zaya shared a throwback picture that showed her and Zaire as kids posing with their mother, Siohvaughn Funches. She captioned the post:

"Happy Birthday big bro!!?? (had to expose you a bit?)."

There were numerous comments to Zaya's post, including one from her dad, who could not resist poking fun at Zaire's dentition in the throwback snap.

ZAIRE'S SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH MOM

Zaire is close to his mom and spent time with her during the last Christmas holidays. He shared a picture on his Instagram page on December 26, showing them as they posed smiling.

Funches also shared more pictures from their Christmas celebration, including a couple that showed her posing with Zaire and Zaya. In the post's caption, she said being with them was all she wanted for Christmas and thanked God for coming through for them.

DWYANE IS INVESTED IN ZAIRE'S CAREER

Like his ex-wife, Wade also shares a close bond with Zaire and showed a glimpse of this when he penned a touching farewell note to him as he left for school last year.

Between late 2019 and early 2020, the Wades found themselves in a situation after Zaya came out as a transgender person.

Zaire, a basketball prospect, left for the Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, looking to emulate his famous father by having a great career in basketball.

Wade is also focused on ensuring his son reaches those heights and told People that he does not take a backseat when it comes to helping Zaire achieve his lofty goals.

ZAIRE'S RELATIONSHIP WITH GABRIELLE UNION

Zaire also shares a great relationship with his stepmom, Gabrielle Union, whom his father married in August 2014. Union has done a good job being a stepmom to her husband's three kids. She also shares a daughter, Kaavia James, with him.

Union showed there was nothing but love in the family when she celebrated her husband's 39th birthday in January with a sweet post featuring a video montage of her and Wade and all of their kids. Zaire also posted a lovely tribute to his dad on his page.

THROUGH THE STORM

Between late 2019 and early 2020, the Wades found themselves in a situation after Zaya came out as a transgender person. The development generated so much talk on social media, with some people calling out the basketballer and his wife for letting such happen.

However, Wade, Union, and all of their kids stood with Zaya and supported her through everything. The basketballer said he and his wife are proud of Zaya and urged people to be their true selves without being inhibited by stereotypes.
