She was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series. On Thursday, her husband, Keith Urban, took to social media to congratulate her on her nominations.
The country musician congratulated Kidman calling her “baby girl” for the recognition from the award shows for her “skills on fire” for her television role. The Instagram Story post included a photo of his wife.
In September 2020, the "We Were" singer featured on an episode of Dax Shepard's podcast, "Armchair Expert." Urban, 52, discussed meeting Kidman for the first time and how he realized she was the one for him.
He explained he knew she was the one he had been searching for when they were dating and had to change if he wanted to keep her. The singer explained the ah-ha moment as feeling like he was going into the light.
The star also confessed that he didn’t feel threatened by his wife’s career. He shared how he knew that there were things he brought to the table that contributed equally to their family.
Kidman and Urban actually met for the first time at 2005’s G'Day USA gala. She knew she had a crush on him, as per her confession on 2017’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” but thought he wasn’t interested.
Someone gave the musician the actress’ number but kept it in his pocket for a while without calling her. He would look at it once in a while and wonder if she would answer if he called.
Urban was quite self-conscious at the time and thought she wouldn’t like a man like him. Eventually, four months later, he got the courage to call her, and they've never stopped talking.
