Over the weekend, Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory by winning the 2021 Super Bowl LV. In a recent boat parade, the captain showed off his football skills by throwing the trophy around.
On Sunday, Tom Brady, 43, got to hold up high the Super Bowl LV Vince Lombardi Trophy in celebration of his team’s win. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won 31-9 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
To celebrate the win, on Wednesday Brady and his team had a boat parade. Wide receiver Chris Godwin’s fiancée Mariah DelPercio shared a video of the celebrations on social media.
She uploaded an Instagram Story clip that showed Brady and his team partying in two separate boats. At one point, the quarterback is recorded while holding the trophy before attempting to throw it to the other boat.
While both boats are moving, the captain tossed the football-shaped trophy over the water and safely into teammate Rob Gronkowski’s hands. The successful pass led to a celebration on Gronkowski’s boat.
The impressive but heart-stopping video was allegedly taken by Mike Evans. The celebratory event was a "socially distant boat parade" near the Riverwalk area of downtown Tampa on the Florida coast.
According to reports, the event was ideal for Brady to show off his new purchase. The captain allegedly spent around $2 million on a brand-new boat last December and he pitched to the event in it.
The player’s new boat was named the "Viva a Vida" in an effort to honor the star’s wife Gisele Bündchen's environmental conservation initiative. Before the parade, the team got a police escort down Hillsborough River.
Social media pictures were shared of the family of five celebrating on the field.
Bündchen, 40, attended her husband’s Super Bowl match over the weekend along with their children. The supermodel and the football player are parents to son Benjamin, 11, and daughter Vivian, 8.
However, Brady also has another son Jack, 13, whom he had while he was married to actress Bridget Moynahan. Social media pictures were shared of the family of five celebrating on the field.
This year’s match was the first Super Bowl LV win for the Buccaneers since 2002. Brady’s wife shared several images of the celebrations and her attendance at the match on February 8, 2021.
She also congratulated her husband and the team on their win and took some time to praise Brady. The supermodel noted how dedicated and focused her husband was for the team to win the match.
