How John Stamos Really Feels about Being a Married Man and Father

Comedian John Stamos recently gushed over having a child at his age and sounded in disbelief that it finally happened. Stamos shares his first child with the 34-year-old actress.

In a recent interview with Us Magazine, the singer revealed that he is grateful to have his wife and 2-year-old son, Billy, by his side. Talking about his three-year marriage, he shared that it feels just about right.

“The marriage has been…it feels right. It just feels good. I tell you, I’m just so grateful that I’m married at this age and that I have a kid and a family,” he exclusively told US Weekly.

Stamos added, “But if any marriage, whatever years you’re at, can make it through this pandemic, then you got a good shot.” The “ER” actor and his model wife celebrated their third wedding anniversary on February 3.

However, Stamos celebrated the milestone while in self-isolation, as he was exposed to COVID-19 while on set shooting for his Disney show “Big Shot” for the third time. The 57-year-old paid tribute to his wife on Instagram and wrote a sweet message to her.

McHugh also made a great effort in making their anniversary a memorable one and reportedly gifted him a record player. "She made me a record of an album of our wedding, like the songs and the speeches. She took the audio off the video and made a record for me," he shared.

THEIR LOVE STORY

Stamos reportedly first dropped hints of his newfound love back in March 2016 during his appearance on "The View." At the time, he was on tour with his former band, Beach Boys.

The musician performed with the iconic band since the mid-1980s, where he played drums and other percussion instruments. Stamos revealed that he was dating this “girl” who loves the song “Disney’s Girls” and shared that people were curious to know who the girl was at the time.

Later that month, People confirmed that it was the “I Am Legend” actress. A source close to the couple disclosed that the pair have a lot in common, notably music, and added that she is a sweet person.

THEIR BUNDLE OF JOY

The couple wedded in February 2018 and welcomed their son that same year in April. Born William Billy Christopher, he was named after his grandfather.

For his first birthday, he and his dad dressed up as Elvis. Stamos posted a snapshot of him and his son on Instagram, reminiscing his arrival into the world; the little one is Stamos' only child.

Before becoming and dad, Stamos first broke into television on the soap opera “General Hospital.” He later rose to fame playing Uncle Jesse on the hit show “Full House.”

The TV star was born in 1963 in Cypress, California. Stamos is also an executive producer for the Netflix spinoff, "Fuller House." The talented performer has also starred on Broadway.
