There is no better way to spend Valentine's Day than with family. Award-winning actress Viola Davis enjoyed her Valentine's Day by spending it with her husband and daughter.

Taking to Instagram, Davis shared a picture of herself, her daughter Genesis, and her husband Julius Tennon all cozied up as they smiled heartily for the camera.

In the shot, Genesis could be seen smiling and making the heart sign with her hands as she snuggled up between her parents. She had on a black dress and white stud earrings that matched her neatly packed hair.

Tennon looked ruggedly handsome with the blue suit that he paired with a blue and white striped inner shirt. His scruffy beard added to his charming appeal. Davis captioned the post:

"My heart!! THIS is what I live for!! It gives my life meaning, and I am forever grateful that they grace my life. Love you G and J...forever and beyond."

The "How To Get Away With Murder" actress looked stunning in the black outfit she wore, and her hair was left in large curls that framed the side of her face. She finished the look with subtle makeup which consisted of wine lipstick and eyeliner.

The post which was shared with her 7.1 million followers had over 257,000 likes a day after it was posted, and there were many comments about how beautiful the family looked.

She is also big on discipline.

Some time ago, Davis opened up about what it was like being a parent to her daughter. She intimated that she empowers Genesis to understand that she has to count it all as joy, even her mistakes, failures, triumphs, and identity.

She added that she is big on self-love and always wants her daughter to understand that loving oneself is very important even if nothing changes.

While Davis is keen on ensuring that Genesis has all the things she needs, she is also big on discipline, and last Christmas, she revealed that she cut down a lot of things from the pre-teen's Christmas list.

Tennon and Davis, who got married in 2003, welcomed Genesis by adopting her in 2011. Five years after, the couple chose to renew their vows.
