Pregnant Meghan Markle donned a gorgeous $1,144 pink ring during a recent appearance with the music streaming platform Spotify, and there is a meaning behind it.
Fashion lovers noticed and loved the lemon-print Oscar de la Renta dress she wore for her and Prince Harry's first public appearance since their pregnancy announcement.

However, only true fashion sleuths would have noticed her shining pink accessory. The gorgeous ring is made by the sustainable Canadian jewelry company, Ecksand.
The Co-Founder and Creative Director of the brand, Erica Bianchini, released a statement on the company's Instagram page and said alongside photos of the ring:
"We are incredibly honoured that Meghan chose to re-wear one of our sustainable jewels during her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy.”
The ring features a rose-cut pink sapphire, which was ethically-sourced. The sapphire is set into a 100% recycled gold band and has a diamond pave. It touches on an important issue for Markle, particularly sustainable style.
This is not the first time the duchess had worn the gorgeous and sustainable piece of jewelry. While pregnant with their first child, Archie, she wore the ring to the 2019 Endeavour Awards.
The toddler will turn 2 this year and be a big brother to his new sibling soon.
Markle seems to be a big fan of Ecksand. She wore a few of their stackable rings in 2018 at the Invictus Games event and during the couple's tour to Tonga.
At the time, fans had been hopeful that the different gems were a hint to Archie's possible birth date as they featured April's birthstone. A blogger had tweeted:
"I'm hoping Meghan’s stacked rings represent their birthstones and Baby Sussex is an April baby."
The other two rings were the birthstones of Markle and Prince Harry's birthdays. Peridot, an emerald stone, represents Markle's birthday in August. The blue sapphire is for Harry's birthday in September.
The prediction was not completely off, as Archie was born on May 6, 2019. The toddler will turn 2 this year and be a big brother to his new sibling soon.
It was announced that Markle and Harry are expecting their second child as their friend and photographer, Misan Harriman shared the news alongside a gorgeous photo of the couple.
The photographer shared a black and white photo of a pregnant Markle lying on the grass in a flowy dress, with her head rested in her husband's lap.
