See Golden Globes Winner Anya Taylor-Joy Inspiring Message for 'The Queen's Gambit' Fans

Anya Taylor-Joy shared what she hopes fans take away from "The Queen's Gambit." She starred as the chess player and addict Beth Harmon in the Netflix hit.

On Sunday, the show won two awards. Taylor-Joy took home the Best Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Movie for Television at the Golden Globes.

Taylor-Joy and "The Queen's Gambit" team sat down for an exclusive Q&A with Variety for the Variety Streaming Room presented by Netflix and reflected on the show's success.

She shared an inspiring message for the show's viewers, in which she said what she hopes the audience took away from the show. Taylor-Joy said:

"I hope if people are lonely, they feel a sense of 'okay maybe this isn't as lonely as I think I am, maybe I need to look a little bit more.'"

She explained that Beth's story is one where she thinks she is alone, but she has a lot of support from other players and friends. However, she is too caught up in herself and her struggles to notice.

Taylor-Joy continued and shared that there are two messages within the story. The first message is that you can fight and win against your inner demons, but it is okay to accept others' help.

The award-winning actress looked stunning in a dark green Christian Dior Haute Couture gown.

During her acceptance speech, she thanked the director, writer, and co-creator, Scott Frank, for allowing her to play the role of Beth and be a part of her journey.

The occasion marked the first prominent award for Taylor-Joy and the show's first major prizes. She continued in her acceptance speech and said:

"I learned so much. I’m so grateful, and thank you to the audiences that have watched it and supported the character. It meant the world.”

The award-winning actress looked stunning in a dark green Christian Dior Haute Couture gown, which featured a deep v-neckline and a matching coat.

Taylor-Joy accessorized the emerald green gown with platinum and diamond jewelry that was worth over $1 million. The jewelry, which included a necklace, earrings, and a ring, was from Tiffany & Co.

The gorgeous Latina wore her beautiful long blond hair down over her shoulder on one side to complete the look. The classic hair-do was styled with a side part.

Taylor-joy spoke to Entertainment Tonight and shared that although the crew never thought about doing more than 1 season, she would be up for working with them again as it had been a wonderful experience.
