Hilaria Baldwin Opens up about Welcoming Infants Eduardo & Lucia after Her Miscarriage in 2019
Hilaria Baldwin is a mother of six children, with her lastborn being welcomed via surrogate. In a recent social media post, she opened about her trying journey to welcome her last two babies.
In September 2020, Hilaria Baldwin, 37, became a mother to another child when she gave birth to her son Eduardo Pau Lucas. Then five months later, she welcomed a baby girl named María Lucia Victoria via surrogate.
Besides the two children, she and actor Alec Baldwin, 62, are parents to four more children! The brood consists of daughter Carmen, 7, and sons Rafael, 5, Leonardo, 4, and Romeo, 2.

Little Eduardo was welcomed on September 2, 2020, and his mother announced his arrival to the world via Instagram. She shared the news by uploading a photo of her and her husband with their newborn.
On Monday, March 1, 2021, she had her followers confused when she shared an image of all six of her children. The "Living Clearly Method" author titled the post with the number seven and didn’t say much else.
The following day the “Mom Brain” podcast co-host shared a close-up photo of little María sleeping comfortably in a pink blanket and matching clothing. Hilaria noted how her family was in love with the newest addition.
The Boston native has been very busy on social media this week as she followed up the post on Thursday. This time the yoga instructor opened up about her gratefulness for all her children.
The author shared how their hearts were filled will gratitude, alongside an adorable photo of little Eduardo and Lucia. She revealed that her children had craved a little sister.
Hilaria even described the pair as being almost like twins because of the way they came about.
Hilaria then mentioned that she’d lost her children’s baby sister at 4 months. In November 2019, the "Saturday Night Live" alum's wife shared the heartbreaking news through an Instagram video.
The touching clip included Carmen, who asked her unknowingly how much longer it would take before the baby came. Continuing with her latest post, she confessed that she ached for her lost child, adding:
“When I found out our baby had died, I told our children that their sister was going to come, just not at that time.”
Hilaria said nothing would ever replace the daughter she’d lost but noted that she and her family were humbled to have the two new additions. She praised her children for being strong when she miscarried.
Alec’s wife thanked the “angels” who helped usher her last two children into the world. The fitness guru even described the pair as almost like twins because of how they came about.
