Prince Harry & Archie Hug Pregnant Meghan Markle in a Photo Honoring International Women's Day
For this week’s International Women’s Day, Prince Harry and his wife released another never-seen-before photo of themselves. This time, the image also included their toddler son.
On Monday, March 8, 2021, the world celebrated International Women’s Day. Prince Harry, 36, and Duchess Meghan, 39, also marked the day with a new black-and-white photo on social media.
Their photographer and friend, Misan Harriman, took to his Instagram account to share the picture. Just like the couple’s pregnancy announcement photo, this one was taken in their garden.

It appeared to have been taken on the same day as the Valentine’s Day pregnancy announcement photo, as Harry wore the same clothes while Meghan wore a La Ligne maxi dress. This time, he and Markle stood in an embrace.
The Duke of Sussex had his face hidden by his wife’s head as he stood behind her while she showed off her growing baby bump. In her arms, she cradled their son, Archie, 1, whose face was also hidden.
Markle was seen smiling as the family of three posed together. Harriman’s post also alluded to the royal couple’s announcement on Sunday that they were expecting a baby girl, with the photographer writing:
“What wonderful news to celebrate on International Women’s Day!”
Harriman also congratulated the couple and welcomed Harry to the #girldad club. In several hashtags, the professional photographer celebrated Women’s History Month and revealed that he’d shot the image remotely.
He also shared that the picture was taken on his iPad and noted that the Sussexes were expecting a girl. Harry and Markle announced their upcoming child’s gender during their recent CBS interview.
The pair sat down with Oprah Winfrey for the tell-all interview titled, “Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special.” Besides the child’s sex, the parents said the due date was sometime in the summer.
The flowing Carolina Herrera dress that Markle wore was the one she had made when she was pregnant with Archie.
Harriman also took the royal couple’s image when they announced that they were pregnant with their second child. The photo was taken in the couple's back garden at their Montecito, California mansion.
The photographer said he’d used an iPad while all the way in the UK to take the image. The flowing Carolina Herrera dress that Markle wore was the one she had made when she was pregnant with Archie.
