Cameron Douglas Praises All Women with a Photo of His Girlfriend and Daughter

Cameron Douglas, the oldest child of “The Kominski Method” actor Michael Douglas, paid tribute to all women on 2021’s International Woman’s Day, with a snapshot of the two closest to him.

42-year-old actor Cameron Douglas, son of the Academy Award-winning actor Michael Douglas, and grandson of late Hollywood’s Golden Era legend Kirk Douglas, opened up about his admiration for women in a recent Instagram post.

On March 8, 2021, Cameron joined the many celebrities that marked International Woman’s Day in social media, and this year, and with his girlfriend and his daughter close to his heart, he sent his best wishes to women.

Taking to his Instagram feed, Cameron shared a snapshot of his 3-year-old daughter Lua Izzy Douglas and her mother, 43-year-old Brazilian actress Viviane Thibes, as Lua seems to be about to blow a candle. Cameron captioned the post:

“Happy International Woman’s Day to my girls, and all the amazing women out there; With Love, Respect and Admiration.”

WELCOMING A BABY BOY

Little Lua recently debuted her new role as big sister to her baby brother Ryder T. Douglas, who was born on December 2020, as his proud parents shared in their respective social media back then.

When delivering the news in her Instagram account, Thibes reflected on the difficult year that 2020 was for everybody because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and she described her newborn son as a blessing sent by God.

Besides her work as an actress back in her homeland in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Thibes worked as a yoga instructor in New York City, where she met Cameron not long after he was released from prison after serving a seven-year sentence.

Thibes also went to Hunter College in New York City, getting a bachelor's degree in film, a subject very close and dear to Cameron, coming from such a clan of actors, so it is not surprising that the two quickly matched.

In 2017, after having dated for a year, Cameron and Thibes announced that they were about to become parents, something that Cameron admitted to being looking forward to.

"It's going to be more inspiration and drive to really try to put a nice life together for my daughter,” Cameron told ET back then, determined to leave his troubled past behind to devote himself to the family he started with Thibes.

PRISON SENTENCE

In 2010, Cameron was sentenced to five years in prison over drug trafficking charges, a sentence that was later extended for another 4.5 years after he was found to smuggle drugs into prison.

In the end, Cameron was released after seven years, and, finally sober, he set out to revive his career as an actor, to the relief of his worried father Michael, who was always near his son in support.
