Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly over the moon after the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton welcomed her second child with her husband, James Matthews.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are thrilled to be uncle and aunt for the second time! A source close to the royal couple revealed that the Cambridges were ecstatic when Pippa Middleton welcomed her second child. The insider said:

“The Duke and Duchess are absolutely overjoyed by the happy news.”

Pippa and her husband, James Matthews, expanded their family with the birth of a second child, a daughter named Grace Elizabeth Jane. The newborn’s middle name paid a sweet tribute to the Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen.

Kate was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton. The news of baby Grace’s birth broke out over the weekend. According to reports, the beloved child arrived around 4:22 a.m. weighing 6lbs., 7Oz.

The news of Kate’s younger sister’s second pregnancy first broke in December 2020. Pippa was seen with a baby bump while running errands in London. However, it wasn’t until this year that the news was confirmed.

While Pippa lives most of her life away from the spotlight, she has often spoken about motherhood.

Kate and Pippa’s mother, Carole Middleton, affirmed the news during an interview with UK's Good Housekeeping. While speaking about her desires for the year, the doting grandmother dropped the bomb.

The Party Pieces founder revealed that she is hoping to see more of her family this year, including her newest grandchild. Pippa and Matthews’ second child makes it the fifth grandchild for Carole and Michael Middleton.

In the interview, the 66-year-old businesswoman described herself as an active grandmother who enjoyed running around with her grandkids, cooking with them, and enjoying bike rides.

Pippa and Matthews welcomed their first child, son Arthur, in October 2018. The now-two-year-old was born in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s hospital, where Kate had her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The great news was shared via a statement, revealing that Arthur was born at 1:58 PM, weighing 8 lbs and 9 oz. Per reports, the duchess was beside her sister’s side throughout her first pregnancy.

While Pippa lives most of her life away from the spotlight, she has often spoken about motherhood and gushed about her son. She once revealed in an interview that Arthur started swimming lessons at just four-months-old.

She also noted that the little one enjoys being active and sometimes follows her to the gym. Pippa and Matthews tied the knot in May 2017 in a beautiful ceremony at the St Mark’s Church in Englefield, London.
