According to a story on Biles by Glamour, her early life and childhood were quite rough. Biles grew up under the parenting of her foster parents and then her grandparents because her biological mother struggled with alcohol and drug problems.

Biles credits her grandparents for her successful career. She has said that it was her grandmother who enrolled her in gymnastics lessons when she was just six years old.

She went on to get into the senior national gymnastics team in 2013. However, her rise to success was not a stratospheric one. In the summer of 2013, things got rough for her as she experienced several failures.

She reportedly took to her Twitter page and made it clear that she did not care what the trolls say about her body because she loves her body just the way it is.
