Heavily Pregnant Fantasia Barrino Puts Baby Bump on Display in This New Snap in a Striped Dress

"American Idol" season three winner Fantasia Barrino is enjoying her pregnancy, and she's not afraid to show off her baby bump and glowing face on her Instagram page.

After struggling with fertility issues for three years, singer and actress Fantasia Barrino has every reason to embrace her pregnancy. She and her husband, Kendall Taylor, excitedly announced that they were expecting back in November.

Since breaking the fantastic news via Instagram Live, Barrino has allowed her followers to share her pregnancy journey by keeping her Instagram updated with pics and videos of her growing baby girl.

In her latest post, Barrino looked carefree as she posed at home while wearing a tight gray striped dress and matching cap over her beautiful glowing face. Her huge belly stole the spotlight as she sat comfortably on a leather chair.

It was clear to see the "Truth Is" singer's blissful face through the simple photo she captioned with a "Home Sweet Home" sticker. However, Barrino's story hasn't always been so joyful.

BARRINO'S ROUGH START

Barrino may be enjoying success and happiness in her professional and personal life now, but her story started rather bleak, even before she struck fame and fortune after winning "American Idol" in 2004.

After falling pregnant and having her first child, Zion Quari Barrino, when she was just 17 years, the "I Believe" singer went on to deal with more challenges as she faced life in Hollywood.

LIFE IS NOT A FAIRYTALE

As if being a single mother didn't already present enough hardships for Barrino, she ended up embroiled in a relationship with Antwuan Cook, with whom she shares her second child, Dallas Xavier Barrino.

"The Color Purple" actress' relationship with Cook did not end on good terms and resulted in a highly publicized breakup with Cook's estranged wife accusing Barrino of destroying her marriage.

[Barrino] married Taylor in 2015 after dating for only three weeks.

A DARK TIME

The fallout from Barrino's relationship with Cook sunk her into a dark place, and in 2010, she attempted suicide in a bid to escape the misery and humiliation.

Fortunately, the "Lose To Win" singer survived the attempt and began a healing process that focused on learning to love and take care of herself before giving her heart to another man.

TWO RINGS FOR FANTASIA

Barrino was so committed to her self-love that she bought a ring and symbolically "married herself." She received her second ring when she married Taylor in 2015 after dating for only three weeks.

The "When I See U" singer's life took a turn for the better since finding true love with Taylor, a self-educated man, and the pair have since blended their families, putting the past struggles behind them.
