During a recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the 44-year-old actor opened up on a pleasant surprise he got from his wife on their fifth wedding anniversary.
Manganiello excitedly revealed that Vergara surprised him with an outdoor picnic. He revealed that his better half had created a perfect atmosphere for them to celebrate their romance.
The "True Blood" star revealed that he showed up for the day rocking a glue mohawk. Pictures of the sweet day were shared on the screen as the 44-year-old spoke with guest host tWitch.
For their fifth anniversary, the couple wanted something symbolic. Manganiello revealed that they had their first date in New Orleans and wanted something that represented it.
The couple spent their quarantine doing things they had never done before.
Speaking of their date, Manganiello recalled that the former "Modern Family" star was shooting a movie with Reese Witherspoon, and he was on a press tour. The "Sabotage" actor revealed that he traveled down to New Orleans and took the actress for a series of romantic dates.
For their fifth anniversary, Manganiello sweetly stated that he rented out a food truck in Los Angeles which was reminiscent of their first date. Everything about their picnic reminded them of how far they have come as a couple.
Manganiello gushed about his love for his wife and revealed he could never have asked for a better quarantine partner. The couple spent their quarantine doing things they had never done before.
For Vergara, the quarantine was the perfect time to watch shows she had not seen before. For the couple, being together was more than enough. The couple started dating in July 2014 and tied the knot in November 2015 in a lovely ceremony at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach.
By the time they met, Vergara was still with her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb. Manganiello never hid his admiration for the actress and could not help but take his chance after hearing she was single again.
