Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper Divorced after 4 Months — Recap of Their Marriage
Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito were once in love, but sadly, the actors filed for divorce only four months into their marriage. Here's a look into their short-lived union.
"NCIS" star Jennifer Esposito was once married to the famous actor and filmmaker Bradley Cooper, but their union soon ended up as one of the shortest celebrity marriages in Hollywood history.
Though it seemed as though Cooper and Esposito were made for each other at the beginning of their romance, they would later discover they were, in fact, not suitable as husband and wife.

COOPER AND ESPOSITO'S ROMANCE
The public first caught wind of Cooper and Esposito's romance at the 7th annual Warner Bros. and Instyle Golden Globes Party held in January 2006.
There, Esposito and Cooper greeted each other with a kiss on the lips, piquing people's interests. When asked if they were having a romantic relationship, the actress only gave a vague response. They were, however, not able to keep it a secret for too long.
Ten months after the Golden Globes Party, the pair announced their engagement in October, but they managed to keep details of their relationship out of the public eye.
A few months after announcing their engagement, Cooper and Esposito tied the knot in a beautiful yet private ceremony in France. This was the first marriage for both of them.
However, despite what seemed to be a great chemistry and love story between Esposito and Cooper, their romance was short-lived, ending only four months into their marriage.
A SAD ENDING
A few months after getting married, May 2007 to be exact, Esposito filed for divorce from Cooper, citing irreconcilable differences. According to a source close to the actor, the divorce was mutual, and they had been separated for a while.
The couple's divorce proceeding was reportedly finalized on November 10, 2007, with both parties honoring their nuptial agreement to waive any right to receive spousal support from each other.
Years later, Cooper opened up about his whirlwind romance with Esposito, explaining that the union was just not right, and they both realized it early enough before it went on for too long.
THE AFTERMATH
While Esposito remained quiet in the years that followed their divorce, the actress made headlines in 2019 after leaving a comment under an Instagram post about Cooper.
Shortly after his relationship with Waterhouse, the actor started a steamy romance with another model
At the 91st Academy Award ceremony held in February 2019, Cooper and pop star Lady Gaga gave a soulful rendition of "Shallow," the signature ballad from the 2018 film "A Star is Born," where they co-starred.
Sitting on a piano bench, Gaga and Cooper poured their hearts into the song, exuding undeniable chemistry that left many assuming that they might be getting intimate.
Actor David Spade was one of many to publicly talk about this with a picture of Cooper and Gaga accompanied by a caption implying that the co-stars had a sexual relationship.
The comments section was soon flocked by fans and followers, including Esposito, who wrote "Ha." The simple comment would, however, go on to stir up controversy among internet users who accused the actress of mocking her ex.
She, however, later came out to address the backlash, explaining that she left the comment only because she thought Spade's post was funny. According to her, it was not meant as a shade to Cooper and Gaga.
Esposito also fired back at those who referenced her 2014 book "Jennifer's Way: My Journey with Celiac Disease — What Doctors Don't Tell You and How You Can Learn to Live Again," where she opened up about her experience with Celiac and called one of her exes a master manipulator.
The actress noted that it was demeaning for people to reduce an important book about how she almost lost her life to something about a relationship she had years ago.
MOVING ON
Following Esposito and Cooper's failed marriage, the pair forged ahead in their careers and, most importantly, their personal lives. They have both been linked to several high-profile stars over the years.
In 2009, Cooper started dating actress Renée Zellweger with whom he enjoyed a loving two-year relationship until they called it quit in 2011. The actor then had an on-and-off romance with "Law & Order" star Zoe Saldana which eventually came to an end in 2012.
The following year, Cooper found love again with British model Suki Waterhouse. This was yet another short-lived romance as they soon broke up in 2015 after two years together.
Then came Cooper's longest relationship so far. Shortly after his relationship with Waterhouse, the actor started a steamy romance with another model — Irina Shayk.
The duo welcomed their daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, in 2017, but by June 2019, news broke that they had ended their four-year relationship.

Meanwhile, Esposito started dating Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis a few years after her marriage to Cooper came to an end. The duo got engaged in October 2009 but called it quit before they could take their romance further.
She has also been previously linked to English model Louis Dowler, but presently, the actress is happily married to fitness expert Jasper Vesterstrom whom she tied the knot with, in 2020.
