Closer Weekly: J Lo Will Not Introduce Ben Affleck to Her Twins Yet despite Him Being Good With Kids

Jennifer Lopez once dated Ben Affleck almost two decades ago, but now the former couple has rekindled their relationship. However, she isn’t rushing for him to meet her children.

Jennifer Lopez, 51, and Ben Affleck initially got engaged in November 2002. The “Good Will Hunting” actor proposed to the singer with a 6.1-carat pink diamond ring from Harry Winston that allegedly cost $2.5 million.

However, in September 2003, they revealed that their wedding had been postponed. The joint statement from the two stars was released just days before their wedding day was supposed to happen.

Affleck, 48, and Lopez’s union sadly wasn’t meant to be, and on January 22, 2004, they canceled their engagement. The “Hustlers” actress announced the news via her spokesperson, saying:

"I am confirming the report that Jennifer Lopez has ended her engagement to Ben Affleck.”

The "Let's Get Loud" vocalist ended up finding love again when she married singer-songwriter Marc Anthony. In 2008, they welcomed twins, daughter Emme Muñiz and son Max Muñiz, before separating in 2014.

For his part, Affleck also got married to a fellow star, Jennifer Garner, in 2005. They had three children together: Violet and Seraphina, and son Samuel Affleck, before divorcing in 2018.

Sadly, after Lopez got engaged to Alex Rodriguez, that relationship fell through, and they separated, while Affleck also left his girlfriend, Ana de Armas. Then the singer and actor hung out together often, with a source noting:

“Jen isn’t wasting any time, she’s moving on with Ben … but what she isn’t going to [do] is let Emme and Max get too involved.”

The Closer Weekly source also revealed on Tuesday that the “Jenny from the Block” singer knew the “Argo” actor was good with children, but she wanted to wait before introducing him to the twins.

The April 2021 breakup between Lopez and Rodriguez, 45, has also been hard on their children. Emme and Max, 13, had bonded bond Rodriguez’s daughters, Natasha, 16, and Ella, 13 - shared with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

After their recent Global Citizen's VAX Live concert appearances, Affleck and Lopez left on a weeklong vacation to Montana. Page Six said they stayed in Montana at an exclusive resort after Affleck planned the trip.

Jennifer Garner is focusing on raising her three children and doesn’t want to deal with her ex-husband’s love life.

The Yellowstone Club is a favorite getaway for big celebrities like Bill Gates, Google founder Eric Schmidt, Justin Timberlake, and more. Affleck and Lopez allegedly stayed in a private home with a private chef.

As Lopez and Affleck’s alleged relationship blooms, Garner is apparently not interested in them. An “Elle” source said the actress didn’t want to be involved in the matter and wasn’t keen on its media attention.

The star is focusing on raising her three children and doesn’t want to deal with her ex-husband’s love life. Garner is making sure her children are happy and that Affleck remains a good father to them.
