Award-winning actress, dancer, singer, producer, and director Debbie Allen has redefined the stereotype associated with being a grandmother.

Unlike the popular belief that grandparents are often old, sitting and sewing in a rocking chair, Allen, who has two grandkids, is as young and vibrant as fine wine.

She also spends quality time with her babies and further talks about them in interviews or serenades them with sweet words in her posts.

This past Sunday, Allen and her granddaughters, Aviah and Shiloh, enjoyed some family company. A snap shared by the grandma revealed the girls adorned in white outfits and their natural hair styled. The photo caption read:

Fans could see Allen in a yellow gown, planting a kiss on her youngest granddaughter's face, who sat confidently on grandma's thighs and was cupped in a one-arm embrace.

The first grandchild, Shiloh, had her gaze away from the camera, with a smile on her pretty little face as she held one of her sister's hands in a pose.

The entertainer is still conscious of letting their parents call the shots in terms of how the kids behave.

Since the producer became a grandparent, she has advocated for other grandparents to be celebrated and loved owing to the superb roles they play in the lives of their grandkids.

Allen, who is an ever-present grandparent, teamed up with Aspercreme to launch #LOVEISGRAND, a campaign where they not only celebrate them but make contributions to organizations supporting aging adults.

As far as the actress is concerned, "grandparents are the heart and soul of so many families." Allen has proven to be very active by charging people to keep on celebrating their grandparents after the campaign ended.

Even with the responsibility of watching over grandkids and playing with them often, the entertainer is still conscious of letting their parents call the shots in terms of how the kids behave.

Allen shares three kids with her husband, Norman Nixon, and she compliments them for being good people, so it comes as no surprise that she expects her daughter, Vivian, who has given her two grandkids, to nurture them soundly without intrusion.
