Tyrese Gibson faced ugly custody battles over his daughter Shayla Somer Gibson. The actor appears to have won some time with her, with both of them appearing together at the "F9" premiere.

Tyrese Gibson's oldest daughter Shayla Somer Gibson is growing up quickly. The now 13-year-old attended the "F9" premiere with her dad, both wearing two-tone ensembles and looking nearly identical.

The singer-slash-rapper sported a formal outfit while his daughter appeared more casual-glam. Gibson wore an eccentric suit with a bow tie and a snakeskin-like lounge jacket.

The artist balanced his conventional leaning look with relaxed tracksuit pants as he nonchalantly placed one hand in his pocket. Taking to the caption, the doting dad penned:

"Shay please stop growing up PLEASE!!!!!! My forever baby my firstborn my world my everything!"

He had a wide smile on his face while his skin glowed. The music man affectionately placed one of his arms around his teenage daughter.

Shayla embodied coolness as she sported knee-ripped jeans while giving the camera the peace sign. She wore her luscious hair up in a high ponytail.

[Gibson and his ex-wife] have been granted shared custody, but it appears the battle isn't over.

Fans and followers loved the post of the two, commenting on their adorable relationship. Fellow rapper Ludacris sent a fire sign emoji in the comment section.

Gibson is a father of two. He has a 2-year-old daughter, Soraya Lee Gibson, who he shares with his estranged wife, Samantha Lee. Shayla is a product of him and his ex-wife Norma Mitchell.

Gibson and Mitchell haven't had a great relationship post-divorce, especially when it comes to Shayla. A custody battle sparked in 2015, becoming a rollercoaster of restraining orders, breakdowns, and much more.

Since then, the two have been granted shared custody, but it appears the battle isn't over. Last year, Shayla's father claimed his ex-wife left the United States when it was her turn to look after their daughter.

He alleged that Mitchell flew to Trinidad, leaving their child to sleep over at a friend's house. He claimed she went against a 2014 court order that requires her to let him know if she won't be able to look after Shayla.

As a result, Mitchell was legally requested to appear in court to explain why she made these alleged decisions. She faced being held in contempt of the court if she couldn't justify what she purportedly did.

Although Gibson loves being a father to Shayla and Soraya, he also can't wait to have a son. The "Fast and Furious" star shared this desire in a shot of him and a young boy fist-bumping.

In the caption, he referred to himself as a "#GirlDad" and wrote that he would really like to have a son of his own. He expressed that he wants to pass on his alpha-male status.
