On January 3, Perrette took to Twitter to remind people to wear masks and stay safe, saying her dad was admitted to the ER and the situation was not looking good. She also asked people to say a prayer for him.

In yet another tweet, Perrette posted a video with her dad and wrote a beautiful caption saying that her dad is her whole world and that he is the one person that never judges her. The caption read:

After her dad passed on, Perrette took a social media break to mourn him, but before she did, she made several posts on Twitter, expressing her grief.

She also shared a little more on the day of his funeral, saying that the last thing her dad said to her was that things were not good, but he keeps fighting. He told her to stay away from COVID.

However, Perrette is not the only celebrity mourning the death of a loved one through COVID. Jamie Dornan also lost his father, Dr. Jim, to the virus at the age of 73. He was a renowned gynecologist.

In early January, the Bush family lost a loved one to COVID. Former President George H.W Bush's sister succumbed to the virus at the age of 74. Speaking about her great-aunt on the TODAY show, Jenna Bush Hager said:

Billionaire Richard Branson also lost his mother to COVID-19 in January. He said rather than mourn her passing on; he would celebrate the wonderful life she lived and the joy and love she shared with everyone.

Sophia Myles documented her father's hospitalization, sharing his last days with her fans. She posted a photo of the two of them with her during his hospital stay. She also let her fans know he'd passed on.
