Nick Cannon Gets Candid about Why He’s Having a Lot of Kids with Different Women
Nick Cannon has become a father of seven after introducing his fourth child in under a year. The “Wild N Out” star recently addressed critics on the matter that’s been making headlines for months.
Many people know Nick Cannon from hosting TV shows like “America’s Got Talent” and “The Masked Singer.” The 40-year-old comedian has been active in the entertainment industry since he was a teenager.
There is nothing Nick Cannon hasn’t had his hand in over the past few decades of his career. From stand-up comedy, acting to making music and hosting, Nick has proven himself as a talented asset in Hollywood.

However, it isn’t Cannon’s fantastic skills as a TV host or stand-up comedian that have kept him in the news lately. Instead, the number of children he has fathered in the past few months has gained our attention.
As of last month, Cannon has welcomed four babies into the world with three different women in under a year. The birth of his baby boy with partner Alyssa Scott officially makes Cannon a father of seven children.
In December, Cannon’s baby spree began with former beauty queen Brittany Bell giving birth to a baby girl. Bell and Cannon have a child from when they previously dated and had the second when they reunited briefly.
The second woman, DJ Abby De La Rosa, gave birth to Cannon’s second set of twins on June 14. Cannon’s first set of twins, Moroccan and Monroe, are mothered by none other than musical superstar Mariah Carey.
Then, Cannon’s newest baby boy was born on June 23, according to the mother, Alyssa Scott. Scott is rumored to be Cannon’s current partner, and she even posted a picture of him cradling her stomach on father’s day.
Cannon did not comment nor confirm some of the baby news for a while until very recently. The City Girls, a rap duo consisting of JT and Yung Miami, appeared on Power 106 Los Angeles and hinted at the rumors.
At the end of the radio interview, Cannon asked the girls whether they had a piece of advice to offer him. One half of the rap duo, JT, took the opportunity to make a joke about Cannon’s newsworthy sexual activity and said:
“Wrap it up and protect yourself,”
As a comedian, Cannon can take a joke. However, he revealed something surprising instead of simply laughing. The father of seven explained that he has actually been having all of the children on purpose.
He elaborated his claims by alluding that there were other women with who he has been involved and didn’t impregnate. Cannon then concluded his explanation by stating that “you only live once,” to which his guests agreed.
Cannon is not the only person who is proud of his expanding family, as his father has stepped up to praise him. James Cannon, who describes himself as pro-life, shares that he is ecstatic about Cannon’s children.
The 85-year-old, who admittedly does not know how many grandchildren he has, encourages his son to have even more. James calls the children ‘blessings’ and advises that Cannon make enough money to care for them.
However, James’ words of encouragement turn precautionary since his son has multiple women involved. He warns his son to ask the right questions and get every arrangement down in writing before carrying on.
James also reveals that he and Cannon’s attitude towards welcoming multiple children may be a personal feat. The doting grandfather references his experience with Cannon’s mother considering an abortion.
Cannon has also referred to the situation in his 2005 song ‘Can I Live?’, which received some backlash. He has since made several controversial statements regarding abortion and Planned Parenthood.
