Samuel L Jackson is popularly known as an actor and producer. The 72-year-old is famous for his exceptional characters in the blockbuster movies, "The Avengers," "The Hitman's Bodyguard," "Captain Marvel," amongst others.

Apart from being a fan favorite over the years, the Hollywood icon is a loving family man. He has been married to fellow TV star, LaTanya Richardson, for forty years, and the pair has been one of the most admired couples in Hollywood.

Like her husband, Richardson has made a name for herself in the movie industry. She is famous for her character as Paulina Pritchett in the musical "The Fighting Temptations." Here is a look at what the actress has been up to lately.

RICHARDSON LOOKS ELEGANT

Richardson recently took to social media to share her stunning looks with her Instagram lovers. The 71-year-old who seemed to be on vacation posted two snapshots that featured her looking dapper in a long black caftan.

In the first slide, she posed on a yacht, grinning from ear to ear. Richardson wore her beautiful black hair in a ponytail pattern and accessorized her look with an array of accessories, including a stunning necklace, earrings, bracelet, and a wristwatch.

On her feet were adorable black slippers which matched perfectly well with her already gorgeous dress. In the second, the "The Fighting Temptation" actress posed side by side with friend and wife of rapper, LL Cool J, Simone Smith.

Smith just like her friend also looked fabulous in a blue caftan. Sitting pretty on her head was a nude hat that brought out the beauty of the well-plaited braid she wore. Richardson captioned the post:

"OK, this is a pause in the travelog to ring the bell on these Elizabeth & Isabella Caftans 🔔🔥❤."

As expected, the comments section was flooded with fans and followers who were in awe of Richardson's age-defying looks. A respondent said the actress looked great, and another fan tagged the celebrities gorgeous.

Richardson's post is one of the many lovely moments shared by celebrity friends, Magic Johnson, Cookie Johnson, LL Cool J, Simone Smith, during a vacation trip.

The men were not left out of the fun and another Instagram post shared by Smith showed them posing with their wives. The images had the caption that read:

JACKSON AND RICHARDSON'S LOVE STORY

Jackson and his beautiful wife, LaTanya Richardson first met at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where they both schooled. Nearly ten years after they crossed paths, the duo began their relationship and later walked down the aisle in 1980.

During an episode of "The Graham Norton Show," Jackson retorted that he could not remember proposing to Richardson. His wife however helped him jog his memory with a clear and vivid explanation.

According to Richardson, her grandfather was very ill at the time and was going to die, but she wanted him to walk her down the aisle before he passed away. The 71-year-old added that her husband asked her grandfather for his permission.

Next, Richardson claimed Jackson asked her to marry him, but the "The Avengers" star was unsure. The former pretended to be disgusted by her husband's comment and said it did not matter.

Although the duo did not have a formal engagement, their marriage has turned out to be a great inspiration to many. Thirty-eight years into their lives as husband and wife, Richardson disclosed the secret behind her successful marriage.

The "To Kill a Mockingbird" star noted that having a big heart and God had kept her marriage going. Also, she said having a mantra the husband and wife could buy into, believe and execute was a real secret.
