PRIVATE WEDDING

Waters and White were friends for almost two decades before they finally exchanged their wedding vows in Thailand in a grand yet intimate ceremony, complete with a gorgeous Thai couture wedding gown.

Additionally, there was a procession of painted elephants, drummers from Thailand, dancers throwing petals, and a fireworks display. At the time, they had just finished filming their movie "Never Back Down 3."

Without her, he wouldn't be the same person, White added.

Besides the two daughters from a prior marriage, Alaia and Niahla, Waters also has three stepchildren, Devin, Jai, and Morgan, by her marriage to White. They quickly became one of Black Hollywood's power couples.

The emphasis in their relationship appears to be solely on their families, health and fitness, upcoming endeavors, and having an enjoyable relationship. The couple's happiness explains why they don't seem to age.

THE PAIR'S LOVE STORY

In a 2015 interview with Rolling Out, White claimed that he had known Waters was the woman he needed a long time ago. Before their marriage, he and Waters were friends for 19 years. The actor said:

"We were blessed with the opportunity to reunite four years ago. We haven't looked back."

For Waters, everything had to do with timing. According to her, when they started a relationship back in 1997, the timing didn't work out for them because they were going through too much at the time.

"With us reuniting four years ago and coming together at that time, it was just right for us. We were settled, and we knew what we wanted. It's 10 times better," added Waters, an honors student at Howard University.

Meanwhile, when asked why he tied the knot with Waters, White said he would be crazy not to, as the actress has made him the best version of himself. Without her, he wouldn't be the same person, White added.

White is a black belt since he was 12 years old, and after he met Waters, he shared his passion for martial arts with her. Currently, Waters is on the same level as him, and they both enjoy the activity together.

HE LOST HIS SON

Recently, White disclosed that his eldest son, a father of six, passed away a few months ago due to COVID-19. The actor shared that he had been hospitalized for a while, so his death was not sudden.

White explained that his son was involved in street activities and had a substance abuse problem. As soon as the virus was detected, his body had already been heavily abused; he was not vaccinated either.
