THE TRUTH ABOUT HER ROMANCE
The comedian first walked down the aisle with a man named Shalom Watkins, and they had a son in 1990. But after two years, the union parted.
It did not take long for the celebrity to meet another man, this time, it was Mark Jackson. The duo dated for a few years before exchanging vows in 1997. Things were fine for a while, and they even adopted a son named Mark Jr. However, the union ended because Mo'Nique found it challenging to shuffle fame and motherhood.
Mo'Nique later found love in the arms of her high school friend, Sidney Hicks, after a failed engagement with Marvin Dawson.
Hicks and the actress have been married for about a decade. When the pair first got together, the entertainer told the media that they were in an open marriage, but in 2020, she revealed that things have changed. Regarding their union, she said:
"There's the evolution of what an 'open marriage' means, because when you're a father and a mother of three children, there's not a whole lot of time to be doing a whole lot of slinging."
This change did not take a toll on their relationship; in fact, Sidney explained that he loves his wife, and they have known each other for more than three decades.
MOTHERHOOD
The year 2005 would forever remain a special time for the onscreen star who welcomed her twin boys—youngest sons, in October. The boys were born in Cedar-Sinai Hospital, LA, in October.
Although her sons, Jonathan and David, came two months earlier than expected, their parents, Mo'Nique and Hicks, were stricken with joy, having the new additions in the family.
Since then, she has showered them with invaluable love and sings their praises online while sharing photos of her look-alike sons.
