Pop singer Katy Perry became emotional in her speech during Variety's "Power of Women" event. The "California Gurls" singer expressed gratitude to her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, for dealing with her "insanity."
"American Idol" judge Katy Perry has been open about her life since dating her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, and becoming a mother to their one-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
During the recent gathering of Variety's "Power of Women," Perry fought back tears as the American magazine honored the 36-year-old pop singer with a prestigious award onstage.

Perry earned recognition for advocating for women's rights, human rights, LGBTQ equality, and being one of the most influential singers in Hollywood. Behind all of her work, the pop star said:
"Orlando, a man that is a friend and an ally to women all around the world. Thank you for handling the insanity of my life."
The "Roar" singer also praised the English actor for being an incredible father and example to Daisy. She described their little daughter as a future powerful woman.

Bloom and the "Dark Horse" hitmaker, who have been engaged since 2019, welcomed their first child together last year amid the pandemic. Daisy is the "The Lord of the Rings" actor's second child.
The runway model was also delighted that her ex-husband and Perry found each other.
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is also a doting father to 10-year-old Flynn Christopher, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Australian model and entrepreneur Miranda Kerr.
Kerr was previously married to Bloom from 2010 to 2013. The Victoria's Secret model tied the knot with Snap founder Evan Speigel in 2017 and they share two kids - Hart and Miles.
Kerr and Bloom have been divorced for a long time but they remain close friends. The runway model was also delighted that her ex-husband and Perry found each other.
From finding happiness with Bloom, Perry expressed excitement over the recent announcement of the new artists who will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime line-up next year.
Artists expected to take the stage in 2022 are hip-hop stars Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Perry performed at the same event in 2016.
Five years after hitting the Superbowl stage, Perry is set to return on stage for her first-ever Las Vegas residency. Her show, titled "Play," will debut in December at the Resorts World.
The "Teenage Dream" singer, who previously had a vacation with her family in Italy, said she is trying to get in shape before she goes to La Vegas for her show.
