TikToker Nydia Maritza or @nydiamv posted a clip sharing her experience of only finding out she was with child six months into the pregnancy. The TikTok user's anxiety was clear.

Maritza sang over a cover of Mika's "Grace Kelly" song, switching to different shots of herself, each showing her face becoming progressively more shocked. Throughout the clip, @nydiamv used overlay text to tell her story.

The TikToker explained that the only reason she took an at-home pregnancy test in the first place was that her friend and sister noticed she was not acting like herself.

Maritza explained that she wasn't too worried as there were no symptoms or a baby bump, and she was on birth control. Suddenly, the TikTok user's attitude changed, revealing:

"Checking on the test 3 min later and see a big + sign and immediately schedule an appointment for the following week."

Before the ultrasound, the nurse informed Maritza it appeared she was only a month and a half pregnant. However, the healthcare worker was stunned at what she found, disclosing that @nydiamv was 23 going on 24 weeks pregnant.

Since the TikTok user mentioned that she menstruated three weeks before finding out she was with child, many women in the comment section were confused and worried. One expressed:

"Not me panicking while I'm on my period 😭 can't even trust a period anymore smh."

Several individuals responded to this, claiming that women can be pregnant even if they are still menstruating. Some shared other stories of them being pregnant without knowing for months on end as well.

A few fellow TikTokers asked for a follow-up video to which Maritza responded in the affirmative. The TikTok user showed her bump growing over the months.

[She] saw a baby's head under her daughter's uniform skirt.

At just after 6 months, a bump started to show itself. The possible future mother who had not been showing at all until then said it appeared out of nowhere.

ANOTHER BUNDLE OF SURPRISES

Based on @nydiamv and the comment section, it looks like a significant number of women may not know they are pregnant for quite a while. 19-year-old schoolgirl Alexis was one of these people.

The young lady had no idea she was expecting until she saw the baby's head under her school skirt. The 19-year-old ended up having the baby on the living room floor of her house.

Alexis didn't miss her periods and had no other known symptoms, but she had aches in her back one day, so she took painkillers and chose to rest. However, the teen mom stayed up all night in incredible pain.

Eventually, Alexis realized she was going into labor, went to the washroom, and experienced a sudden need to push. She called her mom, who, when she arrived, saw a baby's head under her daughter's uniform skirt. Alexis and Maritza prove that life can be truly unexpected.
