Candace Parker's Wife Is Pregnant - WNBA Star Already Has a Child with Ex-husband Who Got $400,000 in Divorce Settlement

In a recent Instagram post, WNBA star Candace Parker praised her wife Anna Petrakova for "always loving" her and basketball player Sheldon Williams' daughter, Lailaa.

One of the WNBA's greatest players, Candace Parker, married her wife, Anna Petrakova, two years ago in a small ceremony with the couple's closest friends and family.

Before marrying Petrakova, Parker was married to the American professional basketball coach and a former player, Sheldon Williams. The pair married in 2008 and welcomed their daughter, Lailaa, the following year.

However, in 2016, TMZ reported that the couple filed for divorce, and Willaims demanded spousal support from his 2016 Finals MVP wife. Fortunately, it seems the couple settled without much drama.

The outlet reported that despite Williams allegedly earning more than $12 million during his six-year-long NBA career, Parker reportedly made more and agreed to pay him a $400,000 alimony.

Neither parent has to pay spousal support, and the couple agreed to fund Lailaa's education and other significant costs associated with her care equally. The parents also agreed to joint physical and legal custody.

After the divorce, Parker moved on and met Petrakova. The pair got married and are now preparing to expand their family as Parker revealed their pregnancy news on Instagram.

Alongside stunning photos of the couple's wedding, Parker revealed they were expecting and that Lailiaa was excited to be a big sister to her future sibling.

The athlete spoke fondly of her wife of two years and made sure to thank Petrakova for "always loving Lailaa as [her] own." She also gushed about how beautiful and glowing Petrakova is as she is pregnant with their baby.

The expecting mothers felt the love from Parker's followers on Instagram as the comment section was filled with loving and congratulatory messages from fans and friends.

There is no doubt Parker is excited to be a mother for the second time because shortly after welcoming her daughter, Parker shared to People magazine that being a mother was a blessing.

The mother and daughter, now 12-year-old, are incredibly close and even have a business endeavor together. In 2020, Parker revealed that they joined the ownership group of LA's newest National Women's League Team, Angel City FC.

Parker and Lailaa did not join the investment group alone. Tennis champion Serena Williams and her adorable daughter, Alexis Ohanian, also joined the ownership group.
