Diddy's 50th birthday was a blast! The star celebrated the milestone in December 2019, a month after his actual birth date. He pushed the party back to coincide with a special day in his life.

Sean John Combs, popularly known as Diddy, knows how to throw a party. And his 50th brought Hollywood to a standstill. The party, held at a mansion in Beverly Hills, was one of a kind.

Having been in the entertainment industry for years, it came as no surprise that the biggest names in the industry left their crafts to attend.

Many A-list celebrities attended the party, including Jay-Z and his wife Beyoncé, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Offset and his wife Cardi B, Usher, Pharell, and Lil' Kim.

Also in attendance were Mary J. Blige, Leonardo DiCaprio, Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg, and Kelly Rowland. DJ Cassidy was at the turntables doing his thing.

The party was a blast, and later on, in the evening, Mary J. Blige rocked the crowd with some of her hits while Lil' Kim, Usher, and Diddy's children took to the stage to raise their glasses to Diddy. A source said of the party:

"It was like a superstar convention! The musical giants of our time were all there to pay their respects."

A MONTH LATE

Despite celebrating his birthday in December, Diddy's actual birthdate is November. People Magazine reports that the music star deliberately pushed back his party to coincide with his late ex, Kim Porter's birthday.

Porter and Diddy started dating in the '90s and had their first child together, Christian Casey, in 1998. They split a year later and were involved in a nasty legal battle over Christian's child support.

However, they later reconciled and welcomed their twins, Jessie James, and D'Lila Star, in 2006. They split a final time in 2007.

Before their split, the two also raised Porter's son, Quincy, from her previous marriage to Al B. Sure! Following her passing from pneumonia in 2008, Diddy dedicated his life to taking care of their children.

After Porter's demise, the "Coming Home" singer opened up about his family life, saying that Porter's love has kept them strong.

"And it's because of Kim we're doing this well, because of the way she loved us. We wouldn't be able to love any other way. Her spirit wouldn't let us," he confessed.

Diddy remembers Porter fondly, and on what would have been her 50th birthday, the rapper paid tribute to Porter by sharing a video montage of their years.
