The Weeknd Announces New Album
In 2022 it seems we’re going to be greeted with new music from many of our favorite artists, and the Weeknd has just made the first move in this direction.
The star took to his Twitter to announce that he would be releasing a new album soon, and fans and fellow singers alike are excited at the prospect of hearing his new material.
The album will be released on Friday, January 7, giving fans very little time to wait for the new music.
In the one-minute video shared to the star’s Twitter page, he calls the new album a “new sonic universe” and tells fans that they have “been in the dark far too long.”
He also revealed that the album would have many features, including Jim Carry, Lil’ Wayne, Tyler, The Creator, Quincy Jones, and Oneohtrix Point Never.
The artist teased the album’s release before he announced it by sharing a tweet saying, “Wake up at dawn tomorrow…” teasing at the fact that his new album will be called “Dawn FM.”
