What relationship do Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have?
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's relationship behind closed doors was always a mystery, but when the former actress had a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, she revealed instances where they clashed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the UK. for Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee celebrations. The couple will fly in with their kids, Archie and Lilibet, who will celebrate her first birthday with the royal family on June 4.
Unfortunately, Prince William and Kate Middleton will not be attending the birthday celebrations and will miss out on their family affair.

As opposed to what it may look like, William and Kate will be absent due to prior commitments. The couple will be in Wales to partake in the celebrations, meet performers, and join a concert at Cardiff Castle.
WHAT RELATIONSHIP DO KATE MIDDLETON AND MEGHAN MARKLE HAVE?
Meghan and Kate first met in 2017 when the "Suits" alum visited Kensington Palace. Their first meeting went well, and it seemed that Kate welcomed Meghan into their family.

Kate remained supportive of Meghan and Harry's relationship until their engagement when she told the Associated Press:
"William and I are absolutely thrilled. It's such exciting news. It's a really happy time for any couple, and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment."
However, it seems that their relationship hasn't progressed since. Behind closed doors, the duchesses were never close. According to a source, Kate did not find any common ground with Meghan aside from living within close proximity.

A few years after Harry and Meghan's wedding, they announced that they were stepping down as senior royal family members. The couple then went on air for an interview with Oprah Winfrey and shared what had happened to them in the months leading up to their decision.
Meghan revealed that she and Kate once clashed ahead of the former actress' royal wedding. As opposed to what the media reported that Meghan made Kate cry, it was the bride who was brought to tears.
"No, [I didn't make Kate cry]. No, no, the reverse happened, and I don't say that to be disparaging to anyone because it was a really hard week of the wedding, and she was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologized," Meghan said.
MEGHAN AND KATE'S WEDDING DRESSES
Both women certainly have different personalities and preferences, which are reflected in their wedding dresses. Meghan wore a plain white Givenchy gown designed by Clare Waight Keller for her special day.
The dress took a minimalist approach and featured a boat neckline bodice and long sleeves. Her sheer veil also had lace trims that showed intricate details.
Meanwhile, Kate chose a laced Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton for her 2011 wedding. The dress boasted long lace sleeves and a long train.
DO PEOPLE LIKE KATE MORE THAN MEGHAN?
As duchesses and sisters-in-law, people can't help but compare Kate and Meghan, especially after the royal rift began. While both are influential and empowered women, it turned out that Kate was more popular among U.S. residents.
Poll results showed that the Duchess of Cambridge won over the citizens after Meghan and Harry had a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Among those who dislike Meghan are her own family members, father Thomas Markle, and sister Samantha Markle, both of whom have criticized and spoken publicly against Meghan.
