Michael J Fox married Tracy Pollan, in the 80s, and through his run and struggles in Hollywood, she was right by his side.

Hollywood star Michael J Fox, who turns 61 on June 9, 2022, is past his Hollywood acting prime but is still fit enough to return to Hollywood if he ever sees the need.

The actor, who is known for starring in the "Back To The Future" franchise and "Teen Wolf," started his career as a teenager and blossomed way into the 80s and 90s. Michael had a fine career going on until 1999, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

At the time, he had been starring on ABC's "Spin City," and he had to leave the show to concentrate on his health. Michael launched the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in 2000 while also focusing on his family.

That was far from the end of his career because the movie star returned to the big and small screens snagging roles in projects like "The Good Wife," "Scrubs," and "Boston Legal." One of his most notable roles was as Alex P. Keaton in "Family Ties."

Presently, Apple has a documentary in the works, which will tell the astounding success story of Michael's career, his work on "Family Ties," and his struggle with Parkinson's.

While Michael battled his health issues and tried keeping up with the demands of Hollywood, he was not alone. The star had his partner, Tracy Pollan, by his side, showing unwavering support.

Michael and Pollan first met in the early 1980s on the set of "Family Ties." At the time, she played Ellen Reed, the love interest of his TV character. Their onscreen chemistry extended to real life, but neither acted on it because Pollan was in a relationship.

However, the plot took another turn when they met again on the set of "Bright Lights, Big City." Around this time, Michael learned that Pollan and her then-boyfriend, Kevin Bacon, had broken up.

He wasted no time hitting her up and asking her on a date. The duo went on to date for seven months, and by 1988, they were ready to walk down the aisle. Their road to marriage was not easy, as Michael and Pollan received multiple death threats.

This had been from a woman who sent letters every day threatening the couple about their intended marriage. However, Michael swung into action, ensuring the authorities nabbed the culprit. The duo later got married in 1989 at the West Mountain Inn in Arlington.

The "Stuart Little' actor and Pollan welcomed their first child, Sam, the same year they married. After Sam's birth, a thrilled Michael gushed about him to People, noting how he and his wife doted on their son right from the womb.

Sam is way into his adulthood years and is the spitting image of his father. However, he did not take the Hollywood path but was once dubbed Mister Golden Globe.

Michael and his wife welcomed twin girls, Aquinnah and Schuyler, next in 1995. The girls are also grown, and while Aquinnah is not into Hollywood, she keeps her social media pages updated with pictures. Her twin sister, Schuyler, prefers the ultra-private lifestyle.

The youngest Fox child is Esme, who was born in 2001. She is pretty much grown, and as of 2019, she left home for college. After she left home, Pollan and Michael gave an interview where they revealed that they were becoming empty nesters.
