Chris Pratt's weight has been fodder for discussion, even as the actor won over hearts with his wit and charm. How did the "Jurassic World" actor lose weight?

"Jurassic World: Dominion" is headed for the top domestic box office, even amid poor reviews. The third and final installment in the new "Jurassic Park" trilogy has received the least favorable reviews of the franchise's six installments.

The Universal film, where Chris Pratt plays one of the main characters, has received a 36 percent rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes based on 175 reviews. Nonetheless, it is expected to gross around $125 million in ticket sales in the United States and Canada this weekend.

The American actor weighed around 300 pounds when he auditioned for the Marvel film "Guardians of the Galaxy." But he revealed he lost 60 pounds in six months with the help of nutritionist Phil Goglia and personal trainer Duffy Gaver.

Goglia's carefully crafted a diet plan for Pratt, increasing his caloric intake to 4,000 calories per day and increasing his water intake. The actor also revealed following his diet plan meant no carbs, beer, hash browns, burgers, or "anything fried."

Pratt also offered words of support to those who aspire to reduce weight. According to the "Parks and Recreation" alum, there is no technique or secret to losing weight fast, only patience and consistency.

Meanwhile, Gaver designed a five-month rigorous training regimen for the actor. He began training Pratt in February 2013, averaging four to six sessions per week.

Pratt, who knew precisely the physical form he wanted to achieve, would also work out on his own if he was in the mood. He had bodybuilding workouts primarily during the first two months. The next two months were a mix of bodybuilding and conditioning.

In the final month, Pratt focused on conditioning workouts consisting of cardio circuits, swimming, mountain biking, and faster-timed sessions. Conditioning workouts also often include a treadmill or rower circuit in addition to weightlifting or calisthenics.

Pratt has been married to Katherine Schwarzenegger since 2019 after a year of dating. Pratt's wife is the daughter of actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He married the 32-year-old author in a lavish ceremony in Montecito, California. Shortly after exchanging vows with his new wife, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star attributed their brief relationship to a lucky twist of fate.

Pratt later expressed gratitude for having found a lifelong partner in Schwarzenegger. He described himself as fortunate and blessed to have her in his life.

Pratt recalled that he met his wife at a church. During that time, their encounters were filled with fate and many connections. They share two children: daughters Layla Maria, 1, and Eloise Christina, who was born last month.

Pratt has a nine-year-old son named Jack with his ex-wife, "Scary Movie" star Anna Faris. Faris and the "Jurrasic World: Dominion" actor were married from 2009 until 2018.
