Jason Momoa and his ex-wife, Lisa Bonet, are proud parents to two children even though they are no longer together. The "Aquaman" star shared an image of their children in 2022, where fans noticed something that stood out.

During an October 2019 interview, Jason Momoa told Esquire that actress Lisa Bonet was his crush. At the time, Momoa noted to the publication that tying the knot with the love of his life gave him the self-confidence he required in his acting career.

He said if someone told him something was impossible, he'd tell them that he married Bonet, which meant anything was possible! The star also spoke further about being attracted to the actress before marrying her.

He confessed that didn't tell her that truth up until they'd welcomed their children! Momoa elaborated on why he'd taken so long to admit that he'd crushed on Bonet long before they met, stating:

“[She was] literally my childhood crush. I mean, I didn’t tell her that. I didn’t let her know I was a stalker until after we had the kids."

The "Game of Thrones" star once referred to Bonet as his "dream girl." Even though the pair seemed like they were meant to be together forever, in January 2022, they left their fans shocked when they revealed they were separating.

The unexpected split came after the pair had been together for 16 years. In their joint announcement, Bonet and Momoa said, "The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived."

The former couple explained that they'd finally "free[d] each other ~to be who we are learning to become… Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children." The duo initially started dating in 2005 after meeting randomly in a Los Angeles jazz club.

The stars officially tied the knot in October 2017, even though some sources had wrongfully set their union date to 2007. However, in early 2022, rumors started claiming the former couple had mended things and were now back together, but that wasn't true.

In late February 2022, Hollywood Life alleged that Momoa and Bonet were giving their marriage another go. Momoa's friend claimed that the former couple was now living together again after changing their minds about divorcing, adding:

“Jason moved back in with Lisa about two weeks ago and they are very much back together."

The friend continued explaining the pair's alleged decision to reunite, stating, "They decided to work on things rather than throw in the towel because they have so much invested in each other."

However, in March 2022, Momoa shut the rumors down while speaking to Access Hollywood on an Oscars event red carpet. He told the publication that the allegations weren't true but that he and Bonet still got along, stating:

“We’re family, you know. We have two beautiful children together. We’re family forever, so.”

Then in May 2022, People magazine revealed that Momoa had moved on as he had been casually seeing Eiza González since February 2022. A source claimed Momoa cared about González, and they were dating.

However, by June of that same year, it was said the couple had ended their relationship. An insider who spoke to People claimed Momoa and González's relationship failed to flourish because the pair were "just very different people."

Despite his marriage ending, the "Dune" actor never stopped being a present father to his and Bonet's two children: daughter Lola Iolani and son Nakoa-Wolf, 14 and 13, respectively, in mid-2022.

Another fan shared the same sentiments while expressing shock at how the two children [Lola Iolani and Nakoa-Wolf Momoa] were their parents' miniatures.

On June 27, 2022, the doting parent was named the United Nations Environment Programme's (UNEP) Advocate for Life Below Water. The star attended the special ceremony at the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in Lisbon, Portugal, with the support of his children.

He concluded his speech by telling his children that he loved them and thanked the duo for standing by his side. Taking to Instagram, Momoa shared several images of Lola and Nakoa-Wolf listening in and participating in the event discussion.

His fans took to the comment section, with one person noting how Lola looked like her mother's twin. Others agreed with the fan's comment with someone else revealing how they'd made their way into the comments to see if people saw the resemblance.

Another Bonet and Momoa fan wrote: "I was so excited thinking it was Lisa and that they were back together until I realized it was their daughter." Judging by that comment, some fans hoped the former couple would patch things up soon!

The consensus between fans was that Lola looked exactly like her mother. However, Lola wasn't the only offspring to be likened to one of her parents, as some of the actor's fans also mentioned how Nakoa-Wolf was his father's "mini-me" while his sister looked like Bonet.

Another fan shared the same sentiments while expressing shock at how the two children were their parents' miniatures. Even though the actor and Bonet weren't in a relationship anymore, the pair continued to co-parent their children.

A week after separating from the actress, Momoa was allegedly seen without his wedding band. However, Bonet appeared to be taking her time with the split, and two months after their relationship ended, she was still wearing her ring.

Besides being a parent to two children, the "Zack Snyder's Justice League" star was Zoë Kravitz's stepfather. Bonet shares Zoë with the musician and former husband, Lenny Kravitz, whom she married from 1987 until their relationship concluded in 1993.

In March 2022, Momoa, Lola, and Nakoa-Wolf all showed Zoë support by attending the premiere of the movie she was starring in, "The Batman." Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Momoa explained that Bonet couldn't make it, so they were all filling in.

He shared how excited they all were to be at the event. Without saying much about his former romantic relationship with Bonet, Momoa explained to the publication that it was "still family, you know?"
