Candace Cameron Bure and her husband, Valeri Bure, have had an impressively solid and lasting marriage. The "Fuller House" actress became a first-time parent in 1998 when she and her husband welcomed their daughter, Natasha.

The couple later had two more children, both sons, and Candace has proudly shared images and updates about her happy family on social media. Speaking previously to the "Today" show, the star revealed how she got a lot of criticism when she was a young mother.

During her June 2018 appearance on the show, she shared how people harped on about what was wrong or right to do when raising children. However, having teenage children made her realize that her parenting style worked for her brood.

Candace noticed that "different things worked for different people." Criticism never stopped her from sharing about her family on social media, and she often responded to and read her fans' comments on her posts.

CANDACE OPENLY SHARES HER FAITH

In July 2020, Candace spoke to Fox News, revealing how she never let Hollywood life stop her from practicing her faith. She told the network that she was proud of having Christian beliefs, adding:

“My faith is really the foundation of who I am. It’s so important to me, and it’s always a part of me, whether it’s at home and privately, or when I’m reading the Bible in Bible study."

The actress also revealed that she practiced her religion at work by ensuring her choices aligned with it. Even the companies and projects she chose to collaborate with had to fall in line with her beliefs.

Speaking proudly about her beliefs, the star said, "The Bible to me is truth." She explained how she found encouragement, hope, trust, and positivity in Jesus, and Christianity never failed her.

Candace knew, no matter what, that God was in control of everything, whether life went the way she wanted or not. Her belief system was an all-rounder thing and not something she used as a crutch.

In the past, she's even rejected some scripts because they didn't fall into alignment with her beliefs. However, the actress wasn't the only one in her family who was religious, as her husband of over two decades also followed the same faith.

Speaking to Us Weekly in June 2021, Candace revealed that she also wished for her children's future partners to be as religious as she was. She felt her desires weren't too much to ask for.

DEALING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA'S CRITICISM

Being an active social media user meant Candace wasn't only exposed to supportive and lovely comments from her fans but also the negative stuff. In September 2020, she sparked some debate by posting a photo of herself and her husband.

The image she shared showed her standing next to Valeri with his arm around her neck and his hand touching her breast. Not everyone in the comments section thought the public display of affection was appropriate for a Christian.

Candace had to take to Instagram Story to defend herself, explaining that her husband of 24 years touching her breast was not inappropriate. She revealed how the criticism made her laugh because the person touching her was her husband and not some random man!

The actress shared with her fans that they had fun together, just like in the picture. She even noted how Valeri could touch her anytime he wanted and revealed that she hoped he would, stating:

"This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about."

For a second, she apologized for those she'd offended, then took back her apology as quickly as she'd said it. The star said she was happy she and her husband could have fun after all the years they'd been together and encouraged him to "touch me all day long."

While Candace appeared to handle criticism quite well, it was a different story when her children were attacked on social media. In January 2021, she shared a lovely family photo to usher in the New Year but received backlash.

One person felt only three people in the image looked human and happy while the other two looked like "psychopathic cyborgs about to destroy a village." Someone else thought Natasha's "pose and sexy vibe" in the picture were inappropriate for a Christian family photo.

While a third person laughed at the Bures and called their family image "ugly." Another social media troll said Candace's children looked "miserable," while someone else felt Natasha looked photoshopped from a selfie she'd taken.

The fan thought the oldest Bure child looked like she was more interested in "looking vapid and hiking up a knee" than posing for a family Christmas photo. A sixth person noted how "strange" the image was.

Another person described the family as "weirdos" who didn't like each other. Someone else started their comment by noting how they loved Candace's son's jumpers before criticizing Natasha's dress code.

Another troll felt Natasha's expression was weird. Taking to her Facebook account, Candace addressed the uncalled-for criticism by asking, "Do you think it's funny to criticize someone's children? To make jokes about them? To critique our poses?"

She also felt being unkind about the direction a person was looking, their facial expressions, and their physical appearances were also uncalled for. The actress described the backlash as rude and asked her followers to be better.

She said she was praying for humanity, respect, and manners and that people would just move on when they didn't like something. The star alerted the trolls that behind the screen, there were people with real feelings.

THE DAUGHTER THAT FOLLOWED IN HER MOTHER'S FOOTSTEPS

Besides facing so much criticism online, Candace's daughter, out of all her children, has the most prominent resemblance to her mother. In September 2021, the "Dancing with the Stars" alum shared two Instagram images of her posing with Natasha.

At the time, the star wished the young adult a happy 23rd birthday with two joint photos. In the pictures, it was hard to tell who the mother or daughter was because they looked like sisters or "twins," as some fans noticed.

In February 2022, Candace revealed that she and her daughter would be starring together in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries project, "Aurora Teagarden: Haunted By Murder." In it, Natasha played a younger version of her mother's character showing how alike they were.

It also appeared the star's daughter was keen on following in her footsteps by becoming an actress. Candace couldn't help but note how proud she was of the young woman's prowess.

Besides taking after her mother in the looks department, Natasha also held the same Christian beliefs. In March 2022, Candace shared videos of the young woman getting baptized and congratulated her for taking the step, writing:

"There’s nothing that tops this day. Nothing!! My three adult children have now all professed their faith, love, service and devotion to Jesus Christ; Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world.“

Like her mother, Natasha has become quite active on social media, which has opened up to direct criticism from her followers. After dealing with the critics of her 2021 family photo, Candace revealed to People magazine that the negativity affected her children badly.

She shared how Natasha dealt with a lot of negativity to the point where "she's come to me many days crying because of what people have commented on her social media." In response, the actress soothed her with some wisdom.

Candace told her daughter that people who wrote "mean things" were just trying to elicit a reaction and get some attention. She noted how it was best to ignore the trolls because the critics were part of social media.

A [Instagram] troll shared how they weren't a fan of the outfit because the skirt was too short and its slit too high.

The star advised her daughter to grow a thick skin if she wanted to continue posting things. In June 2022, Natasha shared an image of herself posing in shorts and a bra, leading a follower to urge her to "cover-up."

In another post, she appeared alongside a friend, but a troll replied, "Stranger Things is just a show. It's not real." Another photo she shared was of her wearing a revealing bikini, causing a fan to urge her to be "modest" as a Christian.

In September 2021, Candace's daughter uploaded a picture of her posing in a bikini top and jeans. A fan criticized her for having "white privilege" for allegedly stating that she was oppressed and speaking against vaccines when she had access to all things life had to offer.

Someone else wanted to know if Natasha would be willing to lead the worship section in front of Jesus while wearing the outfit she was seen in the image. In another post, Valeri's daughter uploaded a photo of her wearing a revealing outfit.

A troll shared that they weren't fans of the outfit because the skirt was too short and its slit too high. Another swimsuit post had a fan wanting to know how a Christian could wear that.
