TONY HAWK SEEMS TO HAVE FOUND FOREVER LOVE WITH HIS FRIEND'S EX-WIFE CATHY GOODMAN

Tony has no regrets about having another go at love. On June 27, 2015, he tied the knot with Cathy in Limerick, Ireland. He ranked the union with his fourth wife as the most meaningful and treasured. He said of Cathy:

Cathy is a star in her own right. She is a social activist that stands up for what she believes in. In 2016, she expressed her support for the protection of Standing Rock, a huge Indian reserve in North and South Dakota.

Hawk's wife believes that equality is a fundamental human right; she also believes in LGBT rights. In 2017, she posted a picture of a young man holding a baton and releasing rainbow smoke, representing the colors of the pride flag.

She also leads Skateisan, an NGO dedicated to empowering children through skateboarding and education. She shared a photo from a recent trip to Johannesburg, South Africa, where children were taught about gender equality and human rights.

Many people were unaware that Cathy had previously married Tony's longtime and closest friend, Matt Goodman, for 20 years. In addition, Matt and Cathy are parents of two children together.

Friends since childhood, Matt and the 54-year-old skateboarding superstar worked together as co-founders of an action-sports film production firm called 900 Films.

Since then, Matt has parted ways with Tony and started his own company, Bandito Brothers, a video development and action sports studio. In addition, he became Tony's groomsman in the latter's previous weddings.

Matt seems to be supportive of Tony's new love life. After learning that Cathy had married his longtime friend, Matt said he had no ill will against Tony for dating and marrying his ex-wife.

While many assume that the connection between his ex-wife and his close buddy is awkward and uncomfortable, Matt said he is "totally cool" with the couple's romantic relationship.

After Tony divorced his third wife and publicist, Lhotse Merriam, in 2011, Matt said that Tony informed him that he was dating Cathy. Matt took the news lightly since he had already moved on to another relationship.

Matt also knew Tony was unhappy with Lhotse and hoped his good friend had found his happiness with Cathy. Matt added that his children from his previous marriage had a positive relationship with Tony.

Like any other parent, Cathy and Tony struggled during the pandemic when three of their children became sick. Fortunately, their house is spacious enough for isolation and for the family to spread out to avoid being sick.

Tony's third marriage to Lhotse, Kadence's mother, eventually fell apart. Previous reports suggested that the couple split due to cheating accusations involving Cathy.

Lhotse reportedly discovered Tony and Cathy's purported affair when she found a plane ticket to San Francisco that the pro-skater had purchased for Cathy.
